Only a 10 minute walk through the Village to the Chairlifts (see the video of me walking through the village!), This 2+Bedroom Townhouse Sleeps up to 6 and has it all: Private Hot Tub on the 3rd Floor Deck. New Modern Appliances, Gas Fireplace, 40” LED Television with a Net Flicks Movie account, X Box 360 with lots of games, Wifi high speed internet, Ooma Voice over internet phone service (Free Long Distance Calls throughout North America). Chef’s BBQ on front deck, Coffee Maker, Blender, and all the needed kitchen equipment and dishware for making gourmet meals at home. You’ll love the waffle maker!

Our condo is fully furnished with luxurious sheets, original oil paintings of Village scenes, bamboo hardwood floors and lots of fun touches that will make a difference in your stay. We re-invest in our condo every year to keep it up to date and exciting for our guests so they’ll want to return.

Unit 49 is located in the quietest part of the Glacier's Reach complex: facing the tennis courts away from the noise of the roads and out of earshot of the inner complex swimming pool area. Glacier's Reach is just across the street from Market Place, home of a grocery store, a liquor store, a pharmacy, the post office, and many other shops and restaurants. Use the free bus service in front of Market Place to get you to the lifts--it comes by every ten minutes, or just do as we do and walk through the village to the lifts which takes 10 to 15 minutes (unless you have children--then all bets are off as they'll want to stop and play at the outdoor play area).

Sleeps a maximum of 6.

About the layout. The Glacier's Reach complex consists of 3 story town homes. Our corner unit faces north, away from the street and the inner courtyard and has views of Wedge Mountain. Our condo is on the 2nd and 3rd floors, on entering our unit one is met with a coat closet and a stair case, we ask that shoes be removed at this point. The second floor consists of a kitchen, a living room with a gas fireplace and a 40" TV, a bedroom and a bath, the two sofas in the living room are convertible beds --please note, one of these convertible sofa beds is not in working order as of March 2017. The bedroom features two twin beds that have been combined into a king bed (and can be split back into 2 single beds). On leaving this main space and heading upstairs one walks past a little bonus loft that holds a single futon--there is a little TV and an X-box and our niece Katie has named this space the X-box loft. At the top of the stairs there is a 2nd bedroom with a queen sized bed and a second bathroom.

Complex Amenities include Year-round Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna, and Free Secure Underground Parking.

Why Gary chose Village North

We chose Glacier's Reach for convenience. We can walk into the Village. We walk across the street, past the bus stop and the free bus shuttle--it goes by every 10 minutes but why bother when the walk to the lifts takes only 10 minutes. Our condo is out of the noisy center of town, located on the northern edge of the Glacier's Reach Complex facing the tennis courts.

Why did we buy a second home in Whistler? Because this is the best place in the world!

What makes this townhome unique

No hallways, no elevators, no lobbies, this is a private townhouse with a private and secluded hot tub. No road front noise, no loud village noise.

  • Our condo is on the second and third floors in the complex. The main floor has one bedroom with a King sized bed that can 'split' into 2 single beds. The living room has two sofas that convert into beds. As you go upstairs to the 3rd floor there is a little bonus space that our niece has nick named the 'X-box loft' it has futon sofa, a tv, and a bunch of x-box games. I sometimes sleep there when it rains hard because the rain on a metal roof can keep me awake. Past the loft is the proper 3rd floor which has a little hall with a refrigerator, a hotplate and a coffee maker and access to a bedroom and a bathroom. There is also a deck outside and access to the private hot tub.

Perfect location

We stayed in Glacier’s Reach last year, just in a different unit, but had more friends with us this time so needed a bigger place. The location is perfect! Steps away from the bus that takes you to the gondolas or a 15 minute walk through town. The home was great too! Well equipped and a good amount of space for 5 adults. Would definitely stay again!

Great location with lots of amenities.

This was our second stay at this property. It is very conveniently located - close enough to walk to the Village easily, groceries nearby, and a free shuttle across the street that takes you to the lifts so you don't have to lug all the ski gear. The private hot tub is a real treat - and it is private; many of the units have hot tubs that are outside the front door, and in full view of everyone walking by. This one is on the top floor, and set back so that you can feel very secure (especially with kids). The kitchen is well stocked, and we had lots of towels. The front deck is also nice and big, although too cold for us to use this time. Definitely plan to come back!

It sounds like you love my place, so I'm a little heart broken that you only gave me 4 stars... I looked at 50 places before buying my unit and think it is one of the nicest in the complex. I'm also happy that it is just outside the nightlife noise of the main village. Life is slowing down for my wife and I and we plan to start spending more of our time at our condo. My apologies in advance if we are staying there the next time you try to book. Gary

Great Location!!!

Gary's place is in a great location. Only footsteps to the free shuttle and a 5 minute walk to the base of Whistler Village. For skiers I'd recommend the shuttle to the lifts. The walk is a bit lentgthy for ski boots. At the very least it's downhill on the way home. I'd definitely stay again in the future.

Clean, comfortable, has everything you need.

The property itself was great! Everything in good supply in the kitchen, enough towels and blankets, etc.

The first time we went into the hot tub, the temperature was set at 105F which we found was scalding, and we couldn’t sit in it until it had reduced to about 97F. Just be careful if you have kids.

The other issue we had was with the Apple box. We could only really access TED talks on it. We tried other things such as Netflix, but it either didn’t want to connect, or it didn’t take the owner’s sign in information. We contacted the owner a few times (and he did get back to us right away with suggestions), but it never got resolved. However, this is a first world problem, and we weren’t there to watch TV primarily, but it would have been a nice way to wind down the day. We also couldn’t find a channel that would connect the DVD player.

But overall a good place to stay, and once they get the TV and the DVD player issues resolved, it will be even better.
