Lovely remote cabin
Cabin is really nice and cozy. Location is very remote and beautiful, in the deep woods. The host Nathan is very responsive to questions. Check in was a breeze. Solid wifi signal in the cabin. Highly recommend. As other reviews mention, the driveway is steep - my little Civic barely could make it up the drive.

Relaxation
I came here with my wife and four-year-old son to unplug and relax. This property definitely does not disappoint in those sectors. There is a grocery store about 15 minutes away and a few restaurants nearby. The outdoor fire pit has a grate over top of it that you can cook on which was a nice bonus. I highly recommend a visit to this cabin

Great getaway!
We loved staying here for the long weekend. It was a wonderful getaway for us and the dogs, spent exploring the trails at Trout Pond and enjoying the scenery. Definitely recommend!

I am medically retired United States Airborne Infantryman working as a civilian for the government in Washington, D.C. My passions include being an amateur photographer as well as builder of simple furniture pieces out of re-purposed pallets (some of which can be found in the cabin). I have also recently taken up acting here in Germany at a community theater. I bought this cabin as my "getaway" from the hustle and bustle of D.C., but I cannot enjoy it as frequently as I would like, so I am happy to share My Lost River Oasis with you - I hope you take as much pleasure from it as I do!

Why they chose this property

I looked at properties from the Shenandoah Valley to Mathis in West Virginia, but this beautiful cabin kept pulling me back. Every time I get off Interstate 81 and start heading West to this oasis, I already start to feel rejuvenated just knowing what awaits me at the end of my short trip. No other cabin or property was able to capture my heart and soul the way this cabin on Timberline Drive did, so how could I not fall in love?

What makes this property unique

On my first visit to this cabin with my real estate agent, I was immediately struck by how beautifully she stood above the quiet road. And when I walked in, her gorgeous wood floors gleamed as I walked around and then stepped outside to see a wonderful view of the morning sunrise peeking through the tall, majestic trees found all over this property. The beauty, serenity, and possibilities hidden within this little cabin were what I could not find anywhere else and which make this a unique vacation spot for anyone.
