About this property

Beautiful Heated Cottage by Pitcher Pond 3 gorgeous acres - Sleeps 6

If you are looking for peace and quiet, but close enough to all amenities and all that MidCoast Maine has to offer, then this is the place for you. This wonderful, modern, year round cottage with rustic features offers everything you would need for a family vacation. Don't settle for an "old in the tooth" property! You are in the heart of the most prime vacation region of Maine - located by beautiful Pitcher Pond, and minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, Camden, Rockport, and Belfast - you have access to boating, fishing, hiking, or just lounging around. Location makes this property very special.

Pitcher Pond is on the Lincolnville/Northport border in Midcoast Maine. It is 370 acres, 7.7 mile perimeter - but only about 1/2 mile across and 2.5 miles long. Fishing for bass and white perch requires a license. The pond is about halfway between Camden and Belfast, and Lincolnville Beach on Penobscot Bay is less than 8 miles away. There are many hiking trails in the region, and the local towns have many great restaurants, shops, grocery stores, museums, and other attractions. Only 90 minutes from Acadia National Park.

Just a quick bike ride, or nice hike, and you are at one of the best organic farms in the area - just buy from the roadside stand.

The cottage is turn key. Just bring some food…and all the rest is there waiting for you - including the bar-b-q! You have delicious and clean well water at your disposal. A spacious kitchen, large sitting room, and a huge deck awaits you. There are 2 bedrooms - one with an ensuite bathroom. There is also a 2nd full bathroom as well. Appliances include modern fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee makers, washing machine and dryer. The property is located on 3 beautiful acres! You can easily sleep 6 in the two double beds and the futon in the living room.

There is a flat screen TV for your use, plus high speed internet/wireless service. Bring your Roku /AppleTV/FireStick!!! (There is no cable or satellite TV service) All of the amenities of home, but in this beautiful and tranquil setting.

This is also a wonderful winter getaway. The property is fully heated and has a wood burning stove as well!!!

Please note that the cottage is NOT waterfront property, although it is only 400 ft. from the lake. You do have unlimited deeded access to the lake and a dock just a 2 minute walk away.

Wonderful cabin in peaceful and lovely location
Despite inclement weather, my partner and I loved our stay in this cabin on Pitcher Pond. The cabin is lovely and was immaculately clean when we arrived. The kitchen was nicely stocked and we were able to have my brother and wife, who live in Belfast, over for a great dinner one night. I particularly appreciated that we were able to bring my partner's dog with us. She was very calm and content in the cabin. The beds and baths were very comfortable. It was nice to have two baths when getting ready to go out. The location is extremely convenient to all mid coast attractions. We spent time in Camden, Belfast, Rockland, Searsport and Buckhead. Thank you for such a pleasant and easy stay, Mike. We will be back someday. Soon, I hope!

Lincolnville Heaven
My wife and I checked in and could not believe how nice and spacious this house was. If you ever watched Maine Cabin Masters, this house fell right into the best we have ever seen. It is in the country but....15 minutes to Belfast and 20 minutes to Camden made it all worthwhile. Everything we needed was there. Plan on going back.

About the host

I am originally from Toronto, Canada, now living in Boston, MA. The reason we bought this cottage is because it brings back ALL of the wonderful memories of weekends I spent in the beautiful cottage regions north of Toronto. This cottage is just as beautiful! We loved spending time together as a family here to get away from it all and just be together. We loved it so much we built a new house right across the street where we spend our family time now.

Why they chose this property

The main reason - it is a relatively modern cottage, built only 20 years ago. It is WELL built, sitting on a real foundation. Fully insulated in the crawl space, and the attic, this is a wonderful winter property if you love winter sports. In the winter, it is quiet and secluded. The Camden ski bowl is minutes away, or grab the shovel and clear space on Pitcher Pond to go skating or even ice fishing.

What makes this property unique

The property speaks for itself, and we are renting at a VERY reasonable price for this area - PRIME Maine Vacation location. Near to EVERYTHING!!!! Search Mid-Coast Maine/Penobscot Bay and see the myriad of activities year round.
