The Duck Lake Cabin was built over a few years starting in 2006 using the latest in building techniques with the intent of having a warm, comfortable place in all kinds of weather. My wife and I have fished, hiked and biked all around the area for over 25 years and have come to love the area and all the amazing things to do here. We started out buying a small cabin in the 80s and found out that we needed to build something bigger since a lot of friends were showing up. The Duck Lake Cabin has two bedrooms both equipped with Queen -size beds and a full bath upstairs. The modern gas fireplace casts a warmth around the upstairs. The living room is a open floor plan with a giant dining table adjoining the fully operational kitchen. Downstairs has a gas fireplace also with two full beds, large shower,sauna-steam room washer-dryer and garage. We are just minutes from the east side GNP entrances, Many Glacier and St. Mary's.

My wife and I have lived in Montana since the early 80s.We have spent our spring, summer and fall in Montana and our winters in Alta,Utah. We owned a raft company for a long time and continue to enjoy floating the beautiful rivers in our state.
Lew and Cheryl Moore purchased this house in 2006
We feel that this is the most beautiful place in Montana!
Walk across the street and catch huge rainbows! Get on your mountain bikes and ride the local trails. Pick a peak from the front porch and climb it! Minutes from Many Glacier and St. Mary's park entrances.
Our North Carolina "Hardy Hikers" stayed ten days at Lew and Sheryl's Duck Lake cabin. Our group of seven found the accommodations more than adequate. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware for preparing meals, the furnishing are very comfortable and the sleeping is perfect for up to eight.
East entrance to Glacier National Park is easily accessed from the cabin.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend any group of up to eight staying at Duck Lake.
We loved this cabin! We have stayed twice in the past 3 years! Lew and Cheryl have been very gracious and accommodating as owners! We love to hike in Glacier National Park and we chose this location because it is close to the Many Glacier area and the St. Mary entrance to Glacier. Two Medicine is only 1 1/2 hours away as well. The kitchen is very well stocked and the cabin is very spacious and it easily accommodated all 6 of us! We had some cool nights and the propane stoves warmed the cabin very nicely! We will definitely stay here again! I can only hope that it will be soon! Doug & Jill Rauscher
We are a family of three and had a wonderful and relaxing experience for our one week stay. Very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable accommodations. We hiked or kayaked all but one day. Home is very close to the park which made it very convenient. Spent one day just relaxing and putting together puzzles. Would highly recommend and hope to return some day.
This cabin felt like home from the beginning. The open family area with great views from every window, the separate private bedrooms and bathrooms, and the well equipped kitchen were just what these two couples needed. We cooked all of our meals and hiked in nearby Many Glacier and St. Mary everyday. The drive to both park entrances is easy, and wifi is available at the St. Mary visitors center if you need a "fix"! Try Two Sisters for a great meal in a unique setting if you want to eat out. Otherwise, this side of the park is very secluded, but all the best hikes and views are here compared to the west side near Kalispell.
We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy our Montana vacation. The house was very comfortable with a great floorplan for the 5 of us (grandparents on main level, with daughter and son-in-law and 6 year old grandson on lower level). I loved sitting on the back deck enjoying the amazing view and the equally amazing quiet. One night I went outside in the early morning to see the Milky Way and was treated to two shooting stars. The house was stocked with everything we needed and was spotlessly clean.
Our objective was hiking at Glacier National Park. The location of the house gave us easy access to the St Mary area and Many Glacier. We would definitely stay at this house again! (I wish that I could stay there for at least a month.)
Conveniently located to both the Many Glacier and St Mary's entrance on the East side. We also were able to drive up to Waterton and down to Two Medicine within an hour +/- for each.
The house has stunning views of Chief Mountain in Glacier, an outdoor shower, several bedrooms, outdoor grill and anything you could want in a kitchen. Even though the main floor would get warm in the late summer afternoons, it would cool off quickly as the sun fell.
Amazing place to base all your Glacier Park activities - a top notch rental!! Thanks for the memories :)
Perfect location and accommodations for our Glacier vacation. We stayed 8 days and everything was as advertised, beautiful sunsets from the back porch, very clean, neat and comfortable beds.
Great location for exploring the eastern side of the park and only 40 miles from Waterton in Canada. Enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay here again.
Our beautiful cabin was built in 2006 by Lew ,Cheryl and friends. It was originally built to access the amazing fishing that is known around the world for its trophy trout. As time went on we began to realize all the other things that make this place so special. Hiking in Glacier Park is world renown and the wildlife viewing from the decks and in the park is unforgettable. Spending time indoors and outside in this area is truly unforgettable. One of our favorite past times after a day of fishing, hiking or biking is watching the magnificent sunsets from our covered decks.
