About this property

Charming Family Cottage Just Feet From Lake Megunticook, Private Lake Access

The cottage has two bedrooms (master overlooks lake), a large comfortable living room with fieldstone fireplace and cathedral ceilings, a separate dining room, an enclosed porch overlooking the lake, and one bathroom with shower. There is also a daybed on the porch, which allows for a total of 5 occupants. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave.

There is now a gorgeous bunkhouse, completed in 2021. Twin beds in a sleeping loft have a view of the lake, and there is a queen sleeper sofa in the cathedral height living area plus a full bath with shower. The bunkhouse can be added to any rental for an additional fee.

Ten minute drive to downtown Camden, walking distance to Mt. Battie hiking trails.

To maintain the traditional, get-away-from-it-all nature of the cottage, we have chosen not to add WiFi service. Cell phone service for major carriers is good; if you need more than the occasional hot-spot from your phone, we recommend a stand-alone WiFi hot-spot device.

A wonderful classic Maine lake cottage
Everything about our stay at the Turville cottage was perfect. The cottage is utterly charming, filled with interesting books, games and intriguing memorabilia, and the views are just simply gorgeous. The sun porch is perfect always and the cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace was a delight on the cool late May evenings.

Waterfront cottage with lots of amenities.
This cottage was very well stocked to cook a meal, head out on the lake with a canoe kayak or to take a quick swim. The water was nice and chilly in October but great to take a swim in. Really close to the happening town of Camden just minutes away and there is a really well stocked market just minutes from the cottage where you can pick up just about anything to make a great meal. Lots of board games for children and a wonderful view of the lake. We really liked all of the China that was available for a few family meals together.
