Will never go budget again on a rental
You get what you pay for. Pulling up to this rental it looks old, and the buildings are not clearly identified so it makes it hard to find. After we unloaded our luggage there were numerous rodents outside the door to the property which should have been a sign. We went into the condo and it’s pretty run down, the master bed is broken and dipping towards the headboard. The two beds in the extra bedroom are old and severely need to be replaced. The bathroom in the master bed room had a broken toilet seat. We decided to eat the cost of this rental and file a claim through the insurance for a refund. This property was unacceptable, I’m retired military and have stayed in better kept sleeping quarters in deployed locations.

Average Older Condo Overlooking Highway 80 With A Fair Rate
We arrived the condo late in the evening and the owner was helpful in getting us in the door. We are owners of 3 vrbo properties and frequent travelers as well and we feel we can give a fair review. Pros: The condo is conveniently located about 15 minutes from Canyons resort. It is 2 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms both with showers, 1 also has a tub. It was large enough to accommodate our party of 5. Has a nice Samsung flat screen TV in the living room. Parking is covered and very close by. Cons or the unexpected: The condo is old and decorated from what was likely the 70's & there has clearly been little investment or upgrades in decades which would be acceptable had it been disclosed in the listing. The mattresses are very old and worn out along with the mattress covers. We were all fairly certain that the heavily stained carpets were original and from the 70's The throw rug under the dining table (as seen in the photo) consisted of 4 evenly torn pieces of old green shag carpet put together to make a square along with 4 old mismatch chairs to sit in. The utensils in the kitchen appear as though they are someone's hand-me-downs from 30 years ago. The pots and pans are in similar condition and much of the glassware is a collection from restaurants over the years and left in this condo for us to use. The kitchen, the drawers, it's all just a mess of an assortment of very old worn out items. Soap dispensers were empty or on the last squirt. 2 of the 3 light bulbs in the kitchen lights were burnt out along with "several others" and in the master there is an old track lighting system poorly mounted to the headboard and when we bumped it, the lights fell over and exploded on our bed and sheets. There is no spare bedding so we had to shake off the glass, re-make the bed and deal with it. The master shower is very narrow and a slender person will constantly bump into the soap holder. Not advised for large folk The shower door continuously falls off the tracks. When you flush either toilet, you must hold down the handle through the whole flush. This is a $10 fix with parts from Home Depot. I am giving the owner 4 stars because he is nice & has a nice condo with potential and in return I hope he will take our rent money, go to Costco and purchase 3 BRAND NEW mattresses, new bedding, a utensil set, a glassware set and new plates & a throw rug. These simple upgrades alone would likely draw additional positive reviews & returning guests like us!

park city vacation
I would not rent this unit again. While the location was good, 5 miles from Park city and 7 from Deer Valley the overall experience at the condo was not satisfactory. The furniture looks like it came from several garage sales, the closets have four hangers each and there are no dressers so putting anything away was impossible. The pillows are all flat and the bed in the master sloped from from to back. There are more light bulbs out then work. The master bedroom has one and the 2nd bedroom has one. The dinning room fixture has one of three and the hall light is out. The glass slider in the living room needs weather stripping, this room is 10 to 15 degrees colder than the others and at night becomes uncomfortable to sleep in. The fire place doesn't work, it says nothing about it in the descripitions but it's in the pictures so it's assumed to work.

About the host

Host profile image
I operate a travel company specializing in global vacation rentals. I also co-author a travel blog. I learned to ski in Park City, and look forward to sharing my condos and mountain town.

Why they chose this property

Park City was where I learned to ski when I was young. I have loved visiting and always wanted to have my own place one day. The area has some of the best skiing in the world, with six elite resorts within easy driving distance. Beyond just amazing terrain, Utah is known for the airy, light, fluffy, powdery snow. Great restaurants and wonderful festivals like Sundance.. what more can you ask for in a ski town?

What makes this property unique

Enjoy access to all condo amenities with owner pass for pool, jacuzzi, volleyball.

Guests have key-less access to condo. Arrive on your own time without having to worry about meet and greet. Self check-in makes everything simple.

Free Ski Shuttle access right outside condo. Great central location to all major resorts. Economical accommodation option.

As host, I am always available for questions. My condos are easily accessible without interaction.
