About this property

Great Top-Floor Condo Heart of Little Italy -Secure Parking

You can't beat this location in the heart of Little Italy. Amazing restaurants, cafes & quaint shops line the streets. Located on the top-floor, this corner unit is very quiet. The walls are well-insulated, and I have never heard any noise from the neighbor. The Convention Center, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Petco Park, and Qualcomm Stadium are all just a short distance away! Beaches, shopping and the famous Gaslamp District are a trolley ride away. Easy freeway access.

30-day minimum stay. Porta D’Italia.

Located a few blocks from the bay and only 10 minutes from the airport. If you are here on business, the unit is set up with everything you need: multifunction printer/scanner/copier/as well as basic office supplies.

There is a bluetooth speaker so you can enjoy your music while staying here.

A beautifully appointed gym with modern equipment is in the building. Prefer to be outdoors: run or walk along the San Diego Bay. There is also a huge common area patio with sunning chairs, two gas BBQ grills and a stunning direct view of the sailboats bobbing around on the bay.

Visit beautiful San Diego, stay in charming Little Italy, and enjoy paradise! Let my condo be your home away from home here in paradise. 1-month minimum rental.

perfect for a longer stay
Aron is the perfect landlord. He replies very fast and helps, if you have any questions. This appartment is in the 4th floor and has the best view of any appartments there. You see some skyscrapers and look in the atrium with the terrace on the 2nd floor. I had enough space for my clothes, there is a large wardrobe and sideboard. The bathroom is big. In the kitchen everything is available for cooking. Maybe interesting tools in the apparment: you have water filter, Ironing board and Iron, in the bedroom a small table for homeoffice with a printer and a monitor, and a hairdryer with diffusor. The neighboors are very kind and it was quite. But the city is noisy, so you can hear traffic from planes and car signals and some noise from electrical machines (maybe air conditioners from ohter buildings), but with closed windows, it's quite. You need 7 min to the trolly (line blue and green). You need 25 min to the next big supermarket (Raplhs) in downtown. Two small italien supermarkets are near, maybe 5 min. The nearest bakery (Frost me) is my favorit and you need only 3 min. If you don't have a car, you need 50 min to the next beaches - Coroado Beach oder Mission Bay / Pacific Beach. This appartment has a garage. Conclusion: if you want to work, study or travel for al long time in San Diego, it's very good place to live.

Little Italy Amazingness
This is a good place for one or two people; it's a snug one bedroom apartment in an absolutely amazing location! You can walk out the door and down the street to be on the busiest street in Little Italy (India St) which is packed with restaurants, breweries, coffee houses, wine shops, and more. I highly recommend the cheese wheel pasta and the pizza at Monello (Bencotto also has cheese wheel pasta, but no pizza.) You can walk to the Little Italy Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings-I recommend the chorizo crepe with egg (cash only) and the tamales. Aron the host is great! He goes above and beyond with recommendations and suggestions on anything you are looking to do and is very responsive and helpful. He is very knowledgeable about visiting Mexico. We ended up visiting Tijuana with Wild Foodie Tours instead of by ourselves (which I also highly recommend). There is an MTS Trolley (the commuter train) station within walking distance. We used that to go to the border at San Ysidro-it's not a short ride, but it's nice to not have to drive. You can hear some noise in the condo from India St, but the place is pretty well sound proofed and it never bothered us. The ac does not distribute very well. You can really feel it in the main area, but it does not get to the bedroom too well. Keep the bathroom door closed all the time to help cool the bedroom more. We were able to get mail and packages delivered to the condo easily. Something to watch out for: if you don't close the entrance door to the condo by hand, it will slam shut quicker than you might expect. Also, there was work being done in the building for the second half of our stay, so we noticed a lot of extra dust coming in during that time. My husband worked from the condo while we were there with no issues from the fast internet through Zoom calls and all. The parking spot was great and secure. Even though the bedroom did not have complete blackout shades, they did a decent job keeping the light low in the morning. We did not have success using the shared grills for the building because they were heavily used and out of gas when we tried. We had luck using the small gym in the building, but it seemed to get busier later in the evening. Aron also had nice, classy touches to his place like crystal wine glasses and pyrex containers. This place is a phenomenal deal in an awesome location in San Diego, and we would definitely recommend it to others and stay here again ourselves!

Outstanding stay in Little Italy/Downtown San Diego
Aron's condo is perfectly located and beautifully furnished, right in the center of Little Italy. Every amenity I could have needed for my month-long visit for work. East access to the airport, Balboa Park and downtown. Super clean and comfortable. Thanks, Aron, for your hospitality and attention to detail. Hope to be back soon!

A frequent traveler myself--for both business and leisure, I've used VRBO on many occasions with great results. I'm excited to now return the favor and make my home available for others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

Little Italy is centrally located with a cozy neighborhood feel and all the benefits of a big city. As the first owner of the property, I purchased this condo in late 2006. It is close to the vibrant downtown Gaslamp District scene. Little Italy is home to some of the city's best restaurants and cafes, steps from the unit. When returning home, it was always an easy hop from the airport and my stress from traveling melted away every time I saw the giant Little Italy sign welcoming me back to the neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

I have come to know many of the restaurant owners (and tried almost all of them) over the years. I'll make sure to suggest some great places for you to try while you are visiting.
