Why The Owner chose Historic Old Town

We bought the house as a weekend and week long getaway for our family. As we were setting it up, we decided to outfit it in a way that guests can easily be accommodated and not feel like they are intruding in someone else's house. From the comments of our guests, they feel that the house is a great setup with the most comfortable beds they've ever experienced.

What makes this house unique

The house has a lot of space and offers a great, relaxing atmosphere that everyone seems to enjoy.

We had a wonderful time at the Homestead it was very accommodating. The house was beautiful and spacious. The beds were comfortable, lots of bathrooms and a great kitchen. The back yard was lovely and to have the pool open was a bonus. Plus it was heated.

Wonderful house, wonderful town

  • 5 of 5

Seven of us stayed at the Homestead for a girls weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed NOTL. The house was very nice, the pool was perfect, since the weather was so warm. We loved having bikes available. An overall perfect vacation with plenty activities for everyone.

Fantastic pre-Christmas escape

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I needed a little downtime prior to Christmas and we booked The Homestead for a few days. We arrived late in the evening. The place was easy to find and we quickly settled in. The location is great: very close to downtown NOTL with a pleasant walk downtown to restaurants and shopping. It is a great launch point to access the local vineyards too. The house was great: More than large enough for 2 of us. I would expect 2-3 couples could easily hang out for a few days comfortably. We lucked out in that the weather was mild and allowed us to enjoy the area. The Christmas lights in particular are unbelievable in this area and it made the short trip extra special. I think a trip back in the summer with some friends is warranted.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Great accommodations. We spent the weekend with family and that round dining table was the focal point for most of our fun. Bedrooms were private and more than enough bathrooms. The pool table was an added bonus. There were 8 of us yet plenty of room

Great Place for Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We had a delightful time celebrating our 50th anniversary here with our entire family, from Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. There were 5 adults and 5 grand kids aged 12 to 21. The backyard with plenty of seating, grill, and heated salt water pool was a big seller for us as was the huge dining room table that comfortably seats 10 for eating or playing board games. Since we ate most of our meals at the house, we appreciated the spacious, well-stocked kitchen. (Note: a few more dinner forks for groups of 10, would be nice). On Wednesday summer evenings in Niagara on the Lake there is a wonderful, outdoor "food fair" at a local plaza with food trucks/booths from many local restaurants - a delightful experience! Of course, NOTL is one of the most charming towns in Ontario to visit and Niagara Falls was a picturesque 25 minute drive away. The owner is quick to respond to any questions you may have and equally prompt in returning your damage deposit. We will heartily recommend this luxury cottage to other families. It would also be perfect for a girls getaway - lots of bathrooms and fantastic shopping in Niagara on the Lake!
