Good, not great
Overall we really enjoyed our stay, but as mentioned by some other reviews there are definitely a few things that need some upgrades/updating for a luxury property. A few appliances were broken or not fully working (i.e. stove burners that didn't work, broken handle on the freezer), the showers had some mold in them that needs to be addressed and for a winter stay, the furnace didn't adequately heat the house - heavier duvets would also have been nice. (Also note that there's no pool as listed in the amenities.) That being said, the layout of the property handled our group of nine well, the kitchen was well stocked and the owners were very responsive to all our inquiries!

Wedding in Invermere
We were in Invermere for our daughter’s wedding. My husband and I along with some other family members stayed at Timber’s Den for 5 nights. It suited our needs perfectly! It was close to town, only 20 minutes from the wedding venue and only a short drive away from other wedding guests and family, beaches, shopping and golf. The property was very spacious, well appointed and having 3 bathrooms was a definite bonus! The kitchen was very well stocked, the deck was huge and although there was a huge fire pit in the backyard, due to the fire ban, we were unable to take advantage of it. Our only suggestion would be for more/brighter lighting as we found it felt a bit dark inside. Otherwise, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Pretty good trip
Beautiful home, Great location , a bit dated. Two things that all the group didn’t like it: - lighting in the main floor( very yellow, not in half, very dark) - very poor ventilation in the main floor( as soon as we cook something all the house was smelling for few hours). Apart of that all the rest was perfect. We will come back yes. Great property and great hostess . Thank you very much

We first fell in love with the community of Timber Ridge when, on a chance opportunity of finding the community gate open, we took the private road which leads to the beach, park and boat launch areas. The drive through the beautiful woods was magical and culminated in a stunning view of Lake Windermere. As custom home builders, we were particularly excited to find our property during a family vacation. Nestled in a mature community, this property had not yet been developed. We were excited for the opportunity to design and build the cabin of our dreams in the beautiful Columbia Valley community of Timber Ridge. The result is a lovely, executive style cabin nestled in the trees. One of three phases in the community of Timber Ridge, the cabin sits on a quiet cul de sac that is accessible only by local traffic. The landscaping and positioning of the home on the lot provides seclusion and privacy in the backyard. On the interior of the cabin, the windows are strategically designed to bring the outside in, while the folding glass walls in the Great Room and Dining Area extend the interior space out to the Deck. Both beautiful and practical, this cabin is perfect for entertaining large groups. We hope you enjoy 'Timber's Den' as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is conveniently situated in the Columbia Valley on Lake Windermere where Spring comes at least one month earlier and Fall one month later than in Calgary, Alberta which is only a 2 1/2 hours drive away. Being so close to Calgary, it is only a short, but beautiful, drive to our vacation home. It is close enough to head out to the cabin on weekends and to drop back into Calgary, when necessary, during longer stays in the summer. Conveniently located a short distance away from the National Park Resort Town of Banff, we often take little side trips into Banff on our way to and from the cabin. The Radium and Fairmont Hot Springs Resorts are short distances from the cabin and we are conveniently located in the middle of a hot bed of Golf Course Resorts, including Copper Point, Eagle Ranch, Radium Resort, and Grey Wolf.

What makes this property unique

We start our day with a coffee on the deck. Often we walk or jog along the tree lined private roadway to the lake. Walking, it takes about 15 minutes each way. Joggers , will continue along the lake and park. If it's beach day, the 3 minute drive is great for hauling beach gear and those who wish not to walk. A boat day launch is at the private marina and boat slips are available for rent there as well. The beach overlooks a swimming and diving dock area which is great for families with children. And if you want to do nothing, slide open the glass walls, drop the electric screens and enjoy the cabin. In the winter, skiing, skating, snowmobiling all end with a cozy fire. When our lives slow down, we will be spending most of our days at Timber's Den.
