Cozy Cabin in the Woods Bordering on Cross Country Trails.

Bedrooms 1

Space 167 m²
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2)

Everyone needs a great getaway and I think this little jewel is definitely one. Our intention was to create a luxurious accommodation without losing the feel of staying in a 1935 log cabin in the woods. The linens and furnishings are top quality,

the furniture is very modern but comfortable, well beyond what one would expect in a rental property, The kitchen is completely equipped right down to the plastic wine glasses for the hot tub.

We understand that you do not get a second chance to make

a good first impression. We want our guests to feel at home in a luxuriously pampered atmosphere. Hopefully they will want to come back and enjoy all four seasons with us.

We have put the price range at a rate that everyone can afford.

Less than half the price of a good hotel or bed and breakfast.

Imagine spending the days on the ski slopes or using the cross country ski trails, that are just steps from the cabin, taking a steam shower or coming downstairs to enjoy a quiet evening with a glass of fine wine in front of the stone fireplace. Perhaps you will prefer enjoying that glass of wine, while soaking in the hot tub underneath the stars and surrounded by the tall Canadian pines.

We have added a queen size blow up mattress with all of the proper bedding, should another couple wish to bunk out in front of the fireplace.

We have added snow shoes for those who would care to take a walk into the woods and flip flops for around the hot tub.

For the Spring, Summer, and Fall Seasons we have provided bikes, so that our guests can enjoy the nature trails all year round.

Does life get any better than this?

About Gail Rodgers

We are 3 girls that have traveled extensively and know what we look for in a rental property.

We purchased this property, knowing that we would make changes and improvements that would wow our guests. We believe in the best quality for an affordable price.

Gail Rodgers purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Gail Rodgers chose Morin-Heights

We fell in love with the location. The cabin is nestled in the woods and enjoys privacy but also has easy access to everything one would want. This is all within walking distance of the village, beach, cross country ski trails, snow shoe, hiking and biking etc.

What makes this cabin unique

Definitely the linear park and the beach. You can literally put your cross country skis on at the front door and off you go. Walk into the village and enjoy the local gossip of village life or a drink at The Comfort Inn.

Winter Wonderland

  • 5 of 5

This was our second winter stay at the Cozy Cabin. It is a perfect place for two people to relax and enjoy nature. The location of the cottage right next to the Corridor Aerobique makes it easy to get out and hike, snowshoe or cross country ski on the groomed trails which we did each day. Soaking in the hot tub under the stars and then spending time in the steam room was pure luxury! The well-equipped kitchen and proximity to grocery stores is a bonus for self catering and dining in front of a roaring fire was better than any restaurant. We love that this cottage is so close to Montreal (45 minutes drive) and to the town of St-Sauveur (10 minutes drive) yet is surrounded by forest and completely private for a true Laurentian experience. We will be back!

Great - Simply Great!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 5th or 6th stay. The cabin (and its kitchen) is very well kept and very well equipped - we were not wanting for anything. There is plenty of well seasoned wood for the fire place. It is located in a beautiful area close to snowshoeing and cross country skiing (5 minute walk), downhill skiing (5-15 minute drive), restaurants (10 minute drive) and a spa (5 minute drive) among many other attractions. The highlights really are the beautiful location in the woods, the beautiful fire place, the hot tub and just the overall feeling of being in a really nice place. Thanks for having us yet again, R and M.

Beau petit chalet confortable.

  • 4 of 5

Owner's Response: Alain, Wow!!!! Not a very nice review even though I corrected the internet immediately. I can only think that you must have enjoyed yourself enough the first visit to have come back for a second stay. If you recall I did corresponded with you in French when we spoke and it was my pleasure to do so. We have over 80 reviews and all of them 5/5 so I guess we have to accept that some people just can't be pleased no matter how hard we try. Gail
