Wonderful home in Ripton
This is truly a property that keeps on giving. We stayed in the summer, when the hiking and outdoors are great. Our dogs loved the fenced in backyard, and the location in Ripton is stupendous. Their are well-known trails throughout the National Forest, and a couple of lesser known trails within walking distance (we see you SPirit In Nature!). The house itself is very comfortable. The kitchen is built to support a large group (two fridges!) and there are many nooks to explore and hide out. Everything was clean. The Game Room? Don't get me started. Fun for all ages.

Spacious and comfortable home
Convenient to Middlebury, we brought family and Godparents together to celebrate our daughter graduating from Middlebury College. The house is comfortable and spacious. Large, well-equipped kitchen. Hosts were great -- very responsive, helpful, and clear communication. This was a great find -- highly recommend.

We own another wonderful log cabin just 25 miles north of this gorgeous place! We have been renting it for 24 years. We have many requests every year for a larger rental for larger families and this is it! Join us at our Lodge! Where nature is 'everywhere' We now also own a Beach house on the beach in Mexico with my dad! We rent when we are not there ourselves.

Why they chose this property

I have ALWAYS LOVED this part of Vermont! Just gorgeous! And when this opportunity came up to actually be able to buy a place here we were thrilled! With the river just across the road and being near the lake and skiing it was a perfect fit for our large extended family! and the beauty of the area plus the Mossalamoo recreational are right there and being so close to Middlebury also made it a perfect fit. It is a fun place! which was what we were looking for, we have 5 kids and 10 grand children and we wanted a vacation home that we could bring each family to, close to the river and skiing in the winter. This was a perfect for us and we thought many other families might enoy it to.

What makes this property unique

When I first drove up my mouth dropped open! It was LOVE at first sight and I had not even entered the house yet! For years I had taken this scenic Route and always thought what a beautiful part of Vermont it was. BUT upon entering this home my heart started to race! all the gorgeous details and Fun the builder had poured into this home. The wonderful surprises! like the stone work inside that drops two floors into the livingroom! and the SECRET ROOM! just to start! It was like walking into my dream fun vacation home! yet a it is warm inviting and HAPPY. All the windows and light, And just the FEEL made me say YES! And the AREA so beautiful! We feel blessed!
