Sunrise Cottage (circa 1908) is a romantic cottage for two. It features a large living space filled with English and Canadian antiques, original artwork, gas fireplace, (plus electric heat) television, games, books, playing cards wireless internet and seasonal flower arrangements. There is an expanding dining table and chairs for 6. In the sitting area the sofa and easy chairs are upholstered in bright and cheerful holly berry red. On the main floor is a 3-piece bathroom with Victorian tub, intub shower with fresh white towels, hair dryer, lotions, potions and little luxuries to pamper the most discriminating of guests. A second 2 piece WC and sink is at the top of the stairs on the second floor which opens into a large and relaxing blue and white bedroom with a comfortable King sized bed , duvet, six pillows, good reading lights and a small sunny window behind the bed that opens for fresh air. (The bed can be separated into two twins)
Facing north, you can catch a glimpse of Smuggler's Cove used during Prohibition for rum-running and on a clear day, Mount Baker in Washington State. Outside guest enjoy their own English-style garden with a terrace, table and outdoor chairs, barbeque, and humming bird feeders. There is guest parking at the bright red front door. Close by a vine-covered garden shed can be used for bicycles and paddle boards. This is the ideal spot for artists, writers, lovers all who seek soothing tranquility and peace in a beautifully kept garden by the sea. There are two resident dogs, a Jack Russel terrier and a lab so we cannot accept pets. The non-smoking cottage lets for one week minimum all summer and the changeover day is Friday.
