One-of-a-Kind Views! Private Seaside Sanctuary & Nature Lover's Paradise

Imagine breathtaking, unspoiled natural beauty as far as the eye can see that will fill you with a sense of awe and wonder. Imagine a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature – a place so magical and unique you’ll long to return. Welcome to the Seaside Sanctuary.

Privately sited on 5 wooded acres with 600’ of granite shoreline, nestled amidst mature spruce and pine trees overlooking a remote peninsula with captivating views of ocean, islands and tides. This special home invites you, your family and friends to share a one-of-a-kind vacation amidst the wilderness beauty of Maine.

Savor coffee on the deck as the mist burns off the water in the warmth of the sun’s rays. Have a seat at the elevated upper granite ledge sitting area with sweeping views of adjacent islands and miles of granite shoreline. Enjoy the warmth of the afternoon sun on the oceanside deck as you settle in for another dazzling sunset. Or, have a seat at the lower granite ledge sitting area and listen to the ocean lapping at your feet. With no other homes in sight -- only pristine natural beauty as far as the eye can see, you’ll quickly understand why the Seaside Sanctuary is your special place to appreciate nature’s splendor.

Built in an era before setbacks from the shore were increased, the close proximity to the water's edge accentuates a feeling of openness and communication with the beauty and solitude of rural coastal Maine. Inside, an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and walls of oversized windows and sliding glass doors capture stunning views and natural light. Relax and enjoy good company and conversation on the spacious oceanside deck. Observe vibrant sunsets and abundant Maine wildlife (seals, deer, eagles and a variety of bird species.)

Accommodating up to 4 comfortably, the Seaside Sanctuary features a vaulted master suite with private bath and a sitting area with sliding glass doors for a commanding view of ocean and islands. An additional bedroom and second full bath, along with a fully stocked kitchen make for a comfortable stay. Living room window seat with expansive views enhance the quaint charm of this unique home.

If you're in the mood for adventure, rent mountain bikes and explore the dirt roads about the coastline of Lubec or Campobello Island, or day hike nearby trails.

This lovely seaside retreat is a true sanctuary for the soul and an outdoor haven for those who crave adventure or desire quiet, private solitude. Come enjoy this DownEast, Maine treasure today and prepare to fall in love. In fact, so many of our guests do, they return year after year.

Private Paradise
What a beautiful spot! We had a relaxing and comfortable stay at the Seaside Sanctuary. This property is lovely and immaculately clean. The master bedroom is even nicer than it appears in pictures. Upon waking each morning, the first thing you’ll see is a stunning view of the cove. The property is thoughtfully stocked and we appreciated having access to the laundry facilities. We spent lots of time playing games on the deck and at the kitchen table. The Lubec Brewing Company is a great place for craft beer and conversations with other visitors and staff. Highlights of the trip include a whale watching tour with Butch Harris and the Windjammer crew out of Eastport. We saw whales, bald eagles, seals and porpoises and were treated like old friends. I think we went hiking everyday! The views at Boot Head and Quoddy were breathtaking and the trails well cared for. We headed over to Campobello Island to check out the history etc. and have lunch. It’s an easy, enjoyable trip. Returning to our home away from home was always a highlight though: as soon as you walk-in you will see a big, beautiful view of the landscape and feel instantly relaxed. Highly recommended❤️

Quiet Getaway in the Woods
Seaside Sanctuary is a beautiful home nestled in the quiet woods of true Down East Maine, with breathtaking views of the tidal coastline. The home was very comfortable and true to the pictures on the website. Although the weather did not cooperate (rain, fog, and a hurricane headed right for us), we enjoyed our time spent in the house and exploring the nearby area as much as possible. Stacey was very easy to communicate with and was very concerned about our well being with the approaching storm. I would recommend this home to anyone seeking solitude and a picturesque location. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Stacey & Tripp.

We made our first trip to Lubec in June 2013 and knew instantly that this was EXACTLY where we wanted to be. The natural, unspoiled beauty of the area and the gentle, simplicity of life here are a welcome respite from the everyday world. It's a place to unplug, recharge your batteries, and reconnect with family and friends while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Why they chose this property

I have always loved nature and the outdoors and the minute we saw this property I knew it was what we had been searching for. The proximity to the water and views from within the home, on the deck, or at various spots around the property foster a strong sense of connection with nature. The enormous tides in the Bay of Fundy create an ever-changing landscape that is captivating to watch evolve.

What makes this property unique

Total privacy and seclusion in a wooded setting
Peace and tranquility - no road or other civilization noise, only the wind in the trees and birdsong
Expansive shore front with many unique nooks and vantage points to enjoy the breathtaking views
Access to the water from the property to launch your kayaks.
