The property is absolutely stunning.

We LOVED staying with Brad and Linda at South Kona Coffee. The location is spectacular. Brad and Linda are freindly and helpful hosts. The accomodations are basic yet comfortable. We had fruit and nuts in abundance during our stay. We will be staying with them again.

Relaxing time away from the bustle

  • 5 of 5

Brad and Linda were very helpful and welcoming. The cottage is a unique space with a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed hearing the rain drum on the roof and also using the outdoor kitchen for our meals. The fresh fruit from the farm was spectacular and we loved cracking our own macadamia nuts. The cottage is closer to the main road than we anticipated so one could hear traffic at times, but it's still very relaxed. We enjoyed walking partway down the path on the adjacent lava field -- the noisiness of the jungle recedes as you walk further into the silence of the lava field. It's quite a remarkable contrast!

Relax to the max!

  • 5 of 5

The Whale cottage is awesome. My girl & myself enjoyed our stay so much that we did not want to ever leave! The area is very clean & well maintained. The owners Brad & Linda are very attentive to any of your needs & respond quickly to any questions you may have. My girlfriend & I have veg/vegan diets & found many options locally. Also within 20 minutes you may find yourself swimming with the dolphins. Also down the road is one of the beautiful botanical gardens in the world, a MUST see! However we found ourselves choosing most days to simply relax to the max in the cottage. We will recommend this tropical paradise to all of our friends as we also intend to return soon🐬

A real paradise on earth !!!

  • 5 of 5

On arrival we had such a warm welcome from Linda, Brad and Lucky (the friendly and a little bit shy but curious dog in the family :-)) that we felt being at home immediately. In our cottage we found an assortment of products of the farm for tasting purposes which consists extraordinarily delicious fruits and the famous Kona-Coffee which we did not know before, but after some days we could compare it to others and it was simply the best Kona- Coffee we found. You should really take some time on arrival to look around in the cottage: it is equipped with all you have at home and more... we have been in rental homes for holidays all over the world yet, but never completed like that. All was very clean and all like described. Only a lot more ... like mineral water tank, gas-grill, oil-lamp, several torches and even snorkelling facility's for two.. You sleep in a very comfortable high bed with only fly screens between you and the nature with a privacy far away from other cottage with big banana trees and coffee plants around. Brad was always very helpfull with explanations and proposals but never disturbing. There are several beaches not far away where you may go for snorkelling within a wonderful world of corals with fishes and even sea-turtles. The Manago Hotel Restaurant provides a typical Hawaiian food in the appropriate environment. But mostly we preferred a fresh fish on the grill in the cottage in the warm open air with all the birds singing around :-))

We recommend this property to all our friends without any hesitation:-))

Secluded Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay here. We felt very secluded and we loved hearing the crickets and birds That night. We got a great tour of the grounds, and they gave us a bunch of delicious fruit, macadamia nuts, and coffee that were grown on the farm.

The place was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Off the grid excellence

  • 5 of 5

My GF and I were lucky enough to get this place somewhat last minute. In the pictures it looked decent enough but it was the price that ultimately closed the deal. We thought we were heading into another subpar place laden with compromises for the cost sensitive traveller.

How wrong we were.

From the moment we pulled off the highway we were awestruck.

We pulled up to a beautiful gate with a passcode immediately giving us a sense of safety and security. From there we headed down one of the most beautiful driveways we've ever seen where we were greeted by a sign with our names on it and Brad, the greatest host in the history of Airbnb.

He showed us around and walked us to our cottage, The Dolphin Cottage, one of several on the property.

The place was cute, quaint and immaculately clean with a few little pleasant surprises I don't want to spoil.

Inside is a far bigger bed than you would expect (king) in a very minimal beach house style space and far more urban comforts than you'd expect for a place in the jungle.

The kitchen is outdoors and so cool and is well enough equipped to prepare almost anything.

The bathroom is detached and again, where you expect outhouse style minimalism and creepiness is a pleasant bathroom complete with on demand hot water.

I could literally type for ages so let me just say that this Airbnb is underpriced and over delivers in every way.

I should also mention that even though we think we're adventurous, we are city people who are scared to death of bugs and that even though this is outdoor living in a lush jungle-esque setting, bugs were never an issue. One night we wanted to play cards outside and Brad even brought over a citronella coil to keep away mosquitoes. There are a few beetles, primarily outside the main sleeping cottage, the odd ant and house fly and tons of adorable geckos and that's pretty much it. You can hang out here and pretend you're a lot thicker skinned that you actually are.

Thanks Brad and Linda! We hope to cross paths again.
