I can't wait to return
We were very impressed by how thoughtfully furnished the property is; they have provided well for their guests. We also noted how very, very clean everything was. My (tall) husband even remarked that the top of the refrigerator was very clean, which he tells me is not common. Lots of information was provided about activities and restaurants. The hosts were very responsive to the few things we needed help with. The location was great as we could walk to the park on the bayfront and to downtown restaurants. It is also a lovely neighborhood with lots of interesting houses. It was very quiet at night and we felt very safe. I highly recommend this rental.

Lovely visit
We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was excellent. We could walk downtown and enjoy restaurants and museums. The apartment was well equipped and we had a new grill! Every request was immediately attended to and in every case Jennifer and Brian were most gracious. I loved the peace and quiet. It’s a very special neighborhood.

Cute as a Button in a great location but with vibe of annual renter for the price
Loved the property and location. No detail left out... this little cottage is cute as a button and the owners thought of everything a vacationer would need and then some! Very beautiful, clean, and generous with the accommodations. Owners were also very responsive. Even responded around 11:00 pm one Saturday when I was having trouble with the living room TV remote. For the price, the location is great except a bit of a sketchy property one block west... what looks like an abandoned old church, but it is not even visible from the back access of this property. The reason for the 4 stars is that the owners were not very willing to work with me when it came circumstances outside my power and were very rigid. They gave off the vibe and feeling that I was a long term renter and not paying double what a regular months rent would be to stay there. I booked a month out and a couple weeks prior to my stay, we discussed the possibility of extending past one month. Jennifer let me know that there might be someone coming in after me. That person never booked and I had some family issues come up where I had to go to NC prior to my checking in and asked if I could change my stay dates and come 5 days later and stay 5 days longer since they didn't have anyone coming. They would not accommodate this request which was fine. However, towards the end of my stay, a rodent problem developed (which is not their fault and not even the reason for the 4 stars) and also a termite and wasp issue which I let them know about. The kicker really was that hurricane Ian was approaching and I had to evacuate and even then with having to cut my stay 5 days even shorter, they would not offer any kind of discounted rate and I was only really there collectively about 2 weeks. It's a cute place, but maybe not worth the price for what you get and no budging if you have anything unexpected come up. Not sure I would spend that type of money again for this place even though I really liked it and felt very homey on the inside... the vibe from the owners was just not that

Great Cottage in Historic St. Pete
Extremely clean and well maintained. The hosts responded immediately to a slight issue with the door that turned out to be user error ;-) Very nice, picturesque parks with a view of the water within 6 blocks as well as a great downtown area with lots of cool restaurants and museums. Loved the walkability and the nice yard for the dog.

About the host

Hi! We've lived in Florida for the past 22 years having moved here from Newport, RI. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Affairs. I've worked in Real Estate, Social Services and Staffing/Recruiting. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, reading, cooking and going to the beach! My husband, Brian, is a Mechanical Engineer. He graduated from the University of South Florida. He enjoys bike riding, boating, ping pong, all things related to cars & working on his inventions!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I bought this property because we love the 'old world' charm of the neighborhood with its' brick streets and architecture. The neighborhood is filled with Craftsman style homes as well as Tudors, Mediterranean Revivals, Colonials, American Four Squares and others. We love that we can walk to our favorite restaurants, shops and entertainment! This neighborhood is like a New England town with Palm Trees but without the cold weather!

What makes this property unique

This is a single level cottage so there won't be any stairs to navigate except 2 steps onto the front porch. There is a private parking spot behind the cottage. It has central AC/Heat (no window shakers)! Easy walk to downtown and the waterfront with it's own small beach! You'll also enjoy a private washer/dryer right in the cottage. A horse drawn carriage can pick you up right at the cottage door (a unique benefit to this neighborhood) and tour you around the neighborhood and/or take you downtown and drop you off at dinner! So fun!
