Welcome to Villa Tatagua– your Caribbean luxury vacation home!

When you stay at Villa Tatagua you’ll have a range of exclusive 5-star services at your fingertips and access to the some of the best facilities in Punta Cana, including world championship golf courses, 3 miles of pristine beach, the only Six Senses Spa in the Caribbean, a pioneering ecological park with fresh water lagoons and plenty of exquisite dining options. ABOUT THE AREA

Our Villa is located at Punta Cana Resort & Club, a gated resort & residential community with 24-hour gated entrance and security.

We are just a short 10-min drive from the Punta Cana International Airport, upon arrival your transportation will be waiting and will take you to our Villa. This arrival and departure transfer are included in your rental. Additional are $30.00 e/w.

Miles of pristine beaches with white powdery sand like Playa Serena, a short 5 minute walk from our Villa or The Beach and Golf Club La Cana just a short walk away and Playa Blanca is 30 minutes away in your Golf Cart, awaits for you!


THE VILLA

At the villa, soaring ceilings and banks of windows and sliding glass doors mean that sunshine pours in, opening onto a sprawling patio and turquoise pool surrounded by palm trees that line the rolling greens of La Cana Golf Course.

Three bedrooms, each with its own en suite bath, sleep 6-8 and are perfect for families or couples traveling together.

Begin the day with a dip in your own private pool and prepared-for-you breakfast on the patio, and then hit the golf course for a round of 9 with incredible views of the Caribbean. Villa Tatagua is located in Tortuga Bay, an award-winning oasis of private single-family homes within Punta Cana Resort and Club.
Or let the hours pass on the beautiful, white-sand beach at Playa Serena, sure to provide hours of sandcastle-building fun for little ones. Or let us help you book a private catamaran tour, where you’ll see the wonders of the ocean close-up and personal while you snorkel in the gorgeous blue waters.

We can prepare fresh, delicious meals for you at the villa (guests rave over our local fare!) And if you feel like dining out, the resort offers several world-class restaurants. From fresh-squeezed juices and grown-on-site veggie dishes at Bamboo to grilled steaks and shrimp skewers on the beach at Playa Blanca, there’s something for every taste.

Afterward, enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset from the patio. Then sink into luxe, 500-thread-count sheets with goose-down duvets. Bright, generously sized bedrooms with en suite bathrooms mean plenty of privacy for everyone. The master bathroom includes a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub that's perfect for long, hot soaks

Your personal chef will prepare your breakfast and lunch to be enjoyed at the villa (groceries are not included). House keeping is done daily to clean the villa, make the beds, and wash towels and linens.

You’ll also have a villa manager during your stay. This is your go-to person for anything you need during your stay, e.g. transfers, excursions, reservations for restaurants, spa treatments, reservations for golf, tickets to events and nightclubs, etc. if you have not booked these prior to your arrival. Additional fees apply to all extra services. Our villa manager speak English and Spanish as a minimum and will be on property to greet you when you arrive to the villa and available throughout your entire stay.

Little Slice of Heaven on Earth
This lovely, well maintained home is set on a quiet street and backs on to hole #2 at La Cana and is surrounded by mature vegetation. Eduardo (the owner) is a true gentleman and made the booking process seamless. He was always available to offer assistance, and proactively went out of his way to ensure we truly had a stress-free vacation. Even transportation from and to the airport with taken care of. We highly recommend renting the golf cart(s), as this is a great way to get around within this large gated community. The property is close to restaurants, shopping, golf and other amenities. Eduardo also offers the employment of Gladys (a very talented chef) and Edmond (butler / bartender) for a very reasonable daily rate. At first we were a bit apprehensive about having someone prepare meals for us, but we are very happy we decided to go with this option. Gladys is a phenomenal cook and an even better person who's personality is kind and gentle and goes out of her way in making sure my family and I were well taken care of. Edmond also was very helpful, and would make runs to the Supermercado (supermarket) for wine or additional groceries, and did so with the biggest smile on his face - always ready to assist! They both made us feel at home and very comfortable. Breakfast, lunches or dinners are prearranged for each day. Eduardo provides a list of items that can be purchased (at a small nominal fee) prior to your arrival. This can also include alcoholic beverages. The home is very spacious and clean. The area is very safe and the tropical surroundings are gorgeous. It is truly your very own oasis. The beach is literally a 5 minute drive using the golf cart. Golf at La Cana can be made at a reduced rate and will challenge all levels of golfers. We highly recommend this property to families with or without children. You will not be disappointed and the photos accurately reflect the beauty of this property. Eduardo and his staff have truly made this vacation property a "turn key" operation that takes all the planning, guesswork, and stress away from the vacationer by offering a premier service at a premier location. We can't wait to return with our family again next year and the years to follow. We loved it that much! Thank you Eduardo, Gladys and Edmond for your caring, attention to detail, and making us feel like family!

NO PRIVACY
BE AWARE that the owner lives in an adjacent room attached to this house & the house maids live in a room off the kitchen where they do entertain their guests so you will HAVE NO PRIVACY! Homeowner has a key to the front door & comes in as he pleases even if he rings the doorbell & if you don’t hear it, he lets himself in! The day of arrival we walked in to see an empty pool being filled with 1 hose & caution tape around the pool! The pool was unusable for 4 days. Be advised the pool looks nothing like the listing it is a very small kidney shaped pool not heated and there is NO HOT TUB! The charcuterie/fruit plate and champagne that the owner leaves you which I did not ask for & claims is complimentary per the Review on January 9 2021by Alfred F. 1/5 TERRIBLE is NOT COMPLIMENTARY! When I checked over the receipt for the food that was purchased to cook us a few dinners not only were all the charcuterie/fruit items on it along with a $30 bottle of champagne & MANY cleaning products and MANY paper products along with other food items I never asked for and when I confronted him and told him this is unethical he became extremely belligerent! This house & the furnishings have not been updated since the photos were taken 12 years ago This was the worst vacation I’ve ever had, cried every day! I have filed a formal complaint with VRBO calling every few days for over a month talked to 6 people and still no resolve. I FEEL A REPRESENTATIVE NEEDS TO FORMALLY CHECK ON THIS HOUSE !

Punta Cana
Overall stay was enjoyable. Rosa was delightful and the meals she provided were well done. There was a mix up communicating menu items. Requested desserts with meals and didn’t get any. Asked for bacon and sausage for one breakfast and received neither. The one item I believe needs improvement would be the golf cart. The cart really needs a windshield. This is your main mode of transportation in the resort and rain is likely to catch you driving. Without a windshield you get absolutely soaked. Considering the price of rental a little protection from the weather should be included and should be easy to remedy. Back patio and pool area are definitely the home’s best feature.

Great location and house!
We stayed for a week, had a great time! Definitely get the golf carts, you can walk to the beach but it is a long walk. Rosa was great, her meals were delicious!

Hello! I’m Eduardo, the owner of Villa Tatagua in beautiful and tropical Punta Cana Resort and Club.

I am a retired US civil engineer and general contractor and know what it is like to live a stress-filled life in the hustle and bustle of a large city. I had vacationed in the Dominican Republic many times in the past and always found the beautiful beaches, friendly people and tropical scenery so relaxing and inviting. I always found it hard to leave when the vacation was over and couldn’t wait until I could once again return. When I retired, I decided to make a change: I turned one of my favorite vacation spots into my retirement home and am so happy I did!

I bought this Villa 10 years ago and spent several months remodeling it to what it is today…a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, spacious, sun-filled Villa facing hole 2 of La Cana Golf Course and a short walk to Playa Serena, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I named the home Villa Tatagua in honor of a beautiful beachfront property my parents owned in Cuba.

I have loved every minute of this new life! It is a pleasure getting to know our guests and helping them turn their dream vacation into a reality. Many of our wonderful guests have returned year after year and we have a spotless 5-star review from 50 guests and counting!
