Tranquil Bliss: A Haven of Hospitality
Nestled within the embrace of nature's tranquility lies this charming sanctuary. My recent stay at this delightful retreat, hosted by the wonderful Annie and Joe, was nothing short of magical—an experience that will linger in my memories for years to come. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality by Annie and Joe, whose passion for ensuring their guests' comfort and satisfaction was evident in every detail. Annie and Joe’s welcoming smiles and gracious demeanor immediately made me feel at home, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable stay. The cottage itself was a cozy haven, exuding charm and character at every turn. Tastefully decorated, it offered a perfect blend of comfort and simplicity with beautiful flowers upon my entrance. But what truly made my stay memorable was the exceptional hospitality of Annie and Joe. Throughout my time at the cottage, they went above and beyond to ensure that I felt welcomed and cared for. They offered invaluable insights into the area's hidden gems, their genuine kindness and generosity left a lasting impression. Their stories and laughter infused the cottage with warmth and camaraderie, creating an atmosphere that felt more like visiting dear friends than staying at a rental property. As I reluctantly bid farewell to this beautiful place. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a renewed sense of connection to the beauty of simple pleasures and genuine human connection.

A Heavenly Haven!
This sweet cottage was such a welcoming retreat-I seriously did not want to leave. Annie and Joe are two of the nicest people you will ever meet (I mean it!), and their pride in their property is evident-the cottage was absolutely spotless when I arrived (with beautiful fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathroom). I was greeted by Joe (and joined by Annie shortly thereafter), and I greatly appreciated their overview of the cottage and the area and how to operate certain things in the cottage. I loved the setting of the property, too-so convenient to both UNCA for walking and to Merrimon Ave for commercial needs, but you feel like you’re out in the country when you’re on the property. As others have said, the layout of the cottage makes the space feel much larger (high ceilings and skylights help), and every space-maximizing detail has been thoughtfully considered and implemented. If you ever have an opportunity to stay here and to meet Annie and Joe, consider yourself very lucky! I can’t wait to return.

Amazing little Cottage!
First and foremost our Hosts Anne and Joe were fabulous! Extremely accommodating, so very kind and just a joy to be around. I am sure we will be getting together at our new home once we get settled! Thank you Anne and Joe for being so much fun. Ohhh… And their yard should be in a “garden magazine”, I had the most fun on the swing and bird watching!

Beautiful, Perfect Space
I had an AMAZING stay at this little cottage. I travel every 3 months for work and have stayed in a lot of furnished spaces, and this was by far the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed in. Bright and airy decor, awesome shower and extremely comfortable pillows and bedding, nothing was left for want. The owners, Annie and Joe were wonderful! So easy to communicate with and always making sure I was being taken care of! Grocery store was only 2 minute drive away, downtown Asheville was only 6 or 7 minutes away. Perfect location. Beautiful cottage. Kind and wonderful owners. Can’t go wrong with this place!

Home with a Heart
The prior reviews say it so well. You can believe every word! I couldn't imagine 320 sq. ft., but the cottage is so smartly designed and furnished, you feel it's much bigger. It's all charm and comfort. I commented to Annie and Joe that it looks as if it had never been used before me, it is so fresh and new-looking. They told me that that is exactly their goal for every guest! The delightful garden is lush and large. The cottage is a perfect place to re-charge and /or to use as a base for visiting the Asheville area.

I am a singer/songwriter, voice talent, and amateur gardener. I love the arts, eating yummy food with friends and family, and the outdoors (especially horseback riding at Hickory Nut Gap Farm or jumping into one of our beautiful mountain swimming holes!). I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had to travel abroad and learn about other cultures. I feel extremely fortunate to have been born and raised in such a wonderful community as Asheville. I love my hometown and all things about the Blue Ridge Mountains.
My husband, Joe Ebel, is a Wisconsin native and has lived here in Asheville for 14 years. He is an an amazing musician, website developer, chef, handyman and just a great guy and fantastic husband! We manage several properties, all next door to us. We love the green space that surrounds us, the peacefulness of our setting, and the proximity to the downtown Asheville scene.

Joe and I met through music. We both write and perform. Between the two of us, we have five CDs of original, acoustic music. If you've seen the Ken Burns National Parks Series TV show on PBS, you've probably heard Joe's violin playing!
He also plays mandolin and acoustic and electric guitar.

Joe and I created a mission statement years ago, and it still holds:
'Create and sustain harmony and balance in ourselves and the world, through loving relationships, artful music, comfortable, peaceful environments and integrity of mind and body.'

Why they chose this property

Asheville is my hometown. At one time, Asheville was called the 'Paris of the South.' It's also called the 'Land of the Sky.' Asheville has always attracted diverse and interesting people. Walk down the halls of the nearby historic Grove Park Inn and you'll see the photographs of famed movers and shakers through the decades. I've watched it grow from a sleepy mountain town to a premier vacation destination, with a lively downtown street scene. Yet it still retains a friendly nature. I love North Asheville, the Farmers Market at the University on Saturdays (during growing season), the hiking, the Parkway views, restaurants, theater, music, and on and on...

What makes this property unique

It's hard to beat the combination of a park-like feel combined with the convenience of being in a city that has so much to offer. The cottage has the best views of the surrounding green space, even better than our own home! The entrance to the cottage has a covered outdoor, flagstone seating area. It's a cozy spot to take in the fresh air while enjoying a morning coffee or tea, especially on a rainy day! A greenway only a half block away affords a casual stroll to the UNC-A Botanical Gardens.
