Worse than expected, needs some TCL
List of nice
- Sitting and watching the view and the fire was very nice
- The teenagers really liked the odd house layout for hide and seek
- The pool table was also a lot of fun even though we have one at home
- All the fireplaces
- An entertaining sea gulf that never figured out we wouldn’t feed him
List of broken:
- Master bedroom has wet rug and carpet. Two feet into the room the length of the door, and there is water in sliding door track. Carpet starting turn colors and curtains starting to turn colors. There is visible mold in the window track and likely under the carpet. The room is safety hazard until it is fixed. We called the 800 number and reported on Friday night they said they would contact local staff to come out and look at. No one came out to address this long standing issue by the time we left Sunday.
- Broken light shade in master bedroom
- Blinds in master bedroom won’t go up, have to take them off and roll up. Missing the chains
- Main room Art light
- Main Room Lamp switch broken off on side table near kitchen
- Kitchen rug corner ripped off
- Bathroom near kitchen missing hand towel rack
- Bathroom near kitchen vanity missing handle
- Surround sound
- Main floor deck several railings are not connected
- Broken deck chairs
- Broken floor tiles Pool table room
- Pool table room slider broken (has laminated sign that is broken and to use other)
*I stopped recording thing at this point and decided to focus on the small amount of time with family.
Other things
- This house was very nice house when it was built in the 1970 and it was probably remodeled around 2001. It feels like it was someone’s dream beach house that now needs to be rented in order to keep. Like most beach house it needs constant maintenance and it in need of some maintenance. The furniture has not been selected to withstand rental use and it shows.
- Cleaning was not great, some sort of sticky residue on kitchen counters, food crumbs on floor when foot stools moved slightly, spider webs everywhere, bugs and pink mold in all three showers.
- House sleeps six, only four chairs for the dining table that could seat eight?
- Single ply toilet paper
- There is no beach access within 1/8 as listed you must you public beach access that are much further.
- Furniture is not as pictured
