About this property

Charming Log Cabin on Private Pond Nestled in Woods.

My charming log cabin sits on 100 acres of private land which adjoins 2200 of New York State Forest. It overlooks a small pond that is stocked with bass. You are welcome to catch a few and cook them fresh on the gas grill. The front porch is comfortable with beautiful views of the pond, hills, and the valley below.

It is a cozy cabin with a sleeping loft and comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a shower. The loft has a queen size bed and the first floor has a double futon.

The sleeping loft is reached via a narrow metal spiral staircase.

Bring your bicycles in the summer or your cross-country skis or snowshoes in the winter or your hiking boots year round, as the state forest is full of groomed trails. Or bring your books and just relax and enjoy your surroundings.

There is a fire pit for cool evenings or just to enjoy while relaxing.

We are only 12 minutes from Ellicottville, New York which is a quaint little ski and resort town. You can ski in the winter or golf in the summer. There are world-class restaurants for fine dining and wonderful shopping. Take advantage of all that this enchanting area has to offer. I have some of the highlights listed below.

It is the perfect place for solitude or a romantic getaway. I hope you will come and enjoy this special place on Golden Hill!!

Fantastic little getaway
Bette has a great spot in the woods, far enough from Ellicottville that you feel like you’re away from it all, but a short enough drive to town. The cabin has everything you need and it’s perfect for a getaway for two. Will look for some time to visit again in the winter if we’re able. Thanks for hosting us Bette, it’s lovely.

Birthday weekend getaway
My husband organized a wonderful birthday ski weekend away for me in Ellicottville. This cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more! It was cozy and quiet and set in the most beautiful spot in the woods. The cabin itself was very comfortable and had the rustic charm that we love. The owner, Bette, was so lovely and made us feel very welcome! It was just a short (and picturesque!) drive to Holiday Valley and into town for meals. We had a perfect two night stay in the cabin and we really hope to come back for a stay again soon!!

Wonderful, Relaxing Week!
The property was a wonderful place to get away and relax. Our dogs were able to run off leash for their first time. They swam in the pond and we hiked in the woods behind the cabin every morning. My wife and I had coffee while enjoying the great view, we made smore's in the firepit and grilled on several occasions. The nearby town Ellicottville was slow paced and had some very enjoyable restaurants (winery, brewery, and Dina's), Niagara falls was close by. Overall the property was fantastic and there was a nice mix of things to do in the area...we plan to visit again!
