Photos and Description of the University District vacation house rental

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

University district home built in 1929, by Missoula craftsman builder Karlbom. The exterior is brick and concrete, deep front porch with distinctive pillars. Interior has beautiful wood work, hardwood floors, and original lighting fixtures. This house has all its original charm but also has modern comforts. Central heat and air, 42' flat screen TV with basic cable and internet access.

The main floor has living room with fireplace, two club chairs and a 6' couch, with dining area seating for four. Main floor also has 2 bedrooms with new queen-size beds, full bathroom and kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave and dining nook. (sorry no dishwasher). Basement has office, 3/4 bath bathroom and laundry room. Front porch with adirondack chairs and a private courtyard in back with BBQ grill.

This home can be enjoyed year round. Missoula is a vibrant, diverse college community, welcoming to all.

* Summer: Walk one block to the Hip Strip, known for its trendy shops, bakeries, cafes. Stroll across the Higgins bridge into downtown, home of great bars and restaurants. Stretch out on the lawn and enjoy one of many music events at Caras Park. Take a ride on the beautifully restored-carousel or rent an inner tube and float the Clark Fork river.

* Fall: Griz football! Parade through the leaves along the riverfront trail with hundreds of other Griz fans. Get a beer at the giant tail gate party, then cheer on the Griz at Washington Grizzly stadium.

* Winter: Attend the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival at the Wilma Theatre. Ski at Snow Bowl, only 15 miles away. Come home to a hot bath and a cozy fire.

* Spring: The return of the downtown Farmers Market, fresh local produce and artists with crafts. Take a hike up to the 'M' on Mount Sentinel among the spring flowers and get a birds eye view of Missoula.
