Charming Mediterranean garden court apartments in prime close-in SE Portland location. Your own 1920's flat in the city. This is one of the nicest garden courts in SE Portland and is not your average rental.
The is a full sized 1 bedroom that has been restored, remodeled, and updated with very high quality furniture and furnishings. It's all on one level so there is no noise from above and it has its own front and back door. The flat has the original hardwood floors, doors and millwork along with very nice light from new windows.
The courtyard out back and the garden setting up the front, along with the prime end location, gives it a feeling of a small cottage in the city and not at all like a condo, hotel, or inner building apartment.
The living room has a classic feel with chase lounge and soft leather chair facing a solid mocha bamboo bookshelf that houses a new LED TV, speakers, wi-fi, and a nice selection of books and art. There is nice light from windows that look out over a garden to the west and downtown.
The kitchen has been upgraded with paper-stone countertops, tin backsplash, new appliances, a composite sink, and a new Grohe faucet. Inside the cupboards and drawers you’ll find new Noritake dinnerware, OXO utensils, quality knives, sturdy water & wine glasses, Tupperware, cookie sheet, cutting board, French press, salad spinner and colander. For cooking there is a quality All-Clad pan set, spice rack, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar, etc.
From the back of the kitchen there's a convenient backdoor that leads onto a private enclosed porch with access out a screen door and down a few steps to the inner garden courtyard and across to the separate laundry room.
The bathroom is more original and cute and also works having been updated with a pedestal sink, new toilet, nice fixtures, and a tub.
The bedroom is cozy and quiet with the new windows onto the courtyard, pergola, & water feature. The one bed is a queen size. The mattress is locally made and is medium firm with a low level of pillow top. The fame is cherry made in southern Oregon. Sheets are 400+ thread count cotton.
Parking is on street but is usually no problem with spots often within 25-100'' of the front door.
Rates vary based on how many nights are being booked, the time of year, and supply vs. demand. Of course the more nights booked the better the rate is. The Homeway calculator does not take the variables above into consideration and so is just an estimate.
Minimum stay required can vary due to how the calendar is filled at the time. We do our best to accommodate short stays but it's just not always possible. Booking just a few nights is possible when it works out with the calendar.
This particular flat is not available long-term however I have another where it may be possible depending on the season.
The unit pictured above does not allow pets though I do have another where a pet may be possible. That spot does have a 6 night minimum, as well as a required pet deposit.
