About The Owner

We have spent time travelling in Canada and abroad, and totally enjoy exploring the comforts of different kinds of vacation homes. We wanted to create something that people would be able to relax into and feel totally at home. We also are so grateful when we can travel with Oscar, our 14 year old black lab, so we decided to make this a clean and pet friendly opportunity for others who enjoy travelling with their pets. We look forward to being your hosts!

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

Wonderful spot! Great VRBO! Stayed twice and will return!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying here and we will return again. This tasteful and characteristic home has everything one needs. There is great care taken with the gardens, landscaping and green all around. Front landscaping is lovely. Enjoy tranquility and beauty on the big back deck with the huge garden below and awesome picturesque views of Howe Sound. Birds abound! Even in the colder months this place rocks with breath taking scene changes overlooking the water and a charming fireplace. This is very very good value for money!

unforgettable time !

We had an incredible experience at this beautiful home in Gibson's . The views , the cozy fireplace and the comfortable home made our stay in Gibsons an incredible one. Our family came from the US spend an extended weekend in which we celebrated our wedding ceremony on the deck over looking the water and surrounded by trees.. thank you Georganne for allowing us to spend this important time in our lives in your beautiful home.

Tranquil, relaxing holiday in a home with breathtaking views

  • 5 of 5

My family and I were fortunate enough to have stayed in this beautiful home for the first week of August this year. It was the first time I had ever visited the Sunshine Coast and found the little villages to be peaceful, beautiful and unique. Walking the docks of Gibsons was a real treat, my little son especially loved the fishing boats.

Our stay was enjoyable from the moment we arrived. Opening the door to the property we found a tastefully decorated, cozy home with a relaxing lived-in energy. The house was very clean and had all kinds of special touches like a deep-dish soaker bathtub and the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. (I'm not exaggerating here, I will have to ask the owners for the brand of mattress - I can't remember the last time I slept so well!)

The property was peaceful and quiet and had an amazing deck and backyard overlooking the bay and treetops. All we could see was the blue of the water and the contrasting green of the trees - absolutely stunning. My 2 year old loved tumbling around the back garden on the lawn and my 6 month old polished up her crawling skills in the sunny living room and enjoyed examining the abundant flowers on the deck. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised as to how baby-friendly the house was.

The caretakers were lovely and kind and even brought us fresh-caught crab one evening. The owners are also really kind and available and made us feel totally welcome.

I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a comfortable, peaceful stay surrounded by the colours of nature, but also within walking distance to the village.

We were very happy with the house, the location and found everything provided that we needed. The owners were very quick to repond and helpful and so was the caretaker. The property was clean and as described on the website. I would highly recommend it!

Great place if you don't mind traffic all night outside your window

  • 3 of 5

Our family stayed here for 3 nights in July 2012. The house is small and cozy with everything you'd need. It doesn't have AC, so 2 of the nights were really stuffy. It is also situated on a VERY busy street right at a 90 degree turn, so all the downhill traffic speeds by and all the uphill traffic shifts into a lower gear before the corner and speeds up around it (this includes big delivery trucks). It would be nice if the traffic could be diverted to another route. It was very difficult getting my 4 and 5 yr old to sleep with all that noise, but thankfully they stayed asleep throughout the night.

The house is well maintained and even has coffee and brown sugar in the cupboard (THANK YOU!!). The owner was wonderful during booking and she has a lady just down the street managing it who's very helpful if you should need something. There is an array of maps, guides, menus that were extremely helpful in guiding us around.

Owner's Response: So sorry to hear you had a couple of busy and stuffy nights! Gibsons Heritage Hills neighbourhood is in lower Gibsons town so you do get the bus passing by, but very few delivery trucks. It is an extremely quiet neighbourhood usually, that is one of the best things about Gibsons. I am sorry to hear your experience was different. With our weather here in BC, it is a rare evening that gets hot in that house. So sorry you got a hot weekend! We would be happy to host you again. I will make sure to let you know where the two fans are that you can use on the hot nights. Thank you again for your patronage.

Christmas holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the Sunshine Coast! The weather wasn't that great, but the house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great, walking distance to the historic part of Gibsons. The view from the house was amazing with Keats Island and Bowen Island right in front of us. Our 2 little girls had a good time too, it was just too bad that we couldn't use the garden as it was raining so much... We will definitely consider this house again for a future trip to the Sunshine Coast.
