About this property

Paddleboard, kayak, dive off the dock, sit by the fire

Right on Highland Lake beautiful spot, sandy beach, great house but close to town. This house was built in 1930 as a hunting lodge/camp but has been updated. The kitchen has enough space to feed an army, big trestle table, beautiful field stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room. fire pit outside, great, dock, nice sand, 2 kayaks and a paddleboard for your use

Local Attractions: Drive-in movies; Rafting down the Saco, wonderful downtown Bridgton a five min walk

The best thing about this beautiful house hands down is you feel very private but in 5 minutes you can walk to town and get an ice cream. It really is an ideal spot on an ideal lake. The lake is quiet but big enough to explore for hours.

Wonderful location in need of TLC
The location was wonderful..but it seriously needs property management. Pam was delightful as a host, communicating often and clearly.

Nice lake house close to town
We enjoyed our stay at the lake house; various age groups in our party and all agreed we would happily stay again! Downstairs bedroom with bath attached perfect for the grandparents. Teens and mom enjoyed upstairs living, each teen able to share a room with their invited friend. Plenty of parking and super close to downtown with lots to do. Public beach, pizza, movies and ice cream all a quick walk away. Paddle board very nice, and two kayaks for use…all paddles and pfd’s included. Dock could use some upkeep but believe owner is working on that. I would suggest a ladder for older folks to get out dockside with ease. Plenty of room inside for the big family to gather, never felt crowded at all. It is an older place and more rustic than fancy, but that has always been our family experience and pleasure. Well stocked, and washer and dryer and dishwasher were much appreciated amenities for our family needs! Would go back 100 percent and think most people would really find it relaxing without being boring! Pam was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Exactly what we wanted!
The property is exactly what you would expect of a 100+ yr old camp/lake house. It was exactly what we were looking for. Kitchen was well equipped and plenty of bedding & bath linens. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thank you Pam for allowing us to enjoy your home.

About the host

I have owned the house for 20 years. It is a very special place and really feels like a maine experience. I live and work in Mass and I really enjoy sharing my house. Most everyone feels it is a special spot.

Why they chose this property

It was built in 1930 the craftmanship was at its peak. It to me is the epitome of a Maine camp. I feel in love with the layout and location on the spot. It also has modern amenities in the kitchen, washer/dryer etc so it feels very comfortable

What makes this property unique

There is a unique boathouse on the property it is not usuable right now but I am working on trying to make it more usable. There is a nice sandy beach and alot of room inside the house to spread out.
