Our Cottage - Small in size, Big in character, On beautiful Highland Lake
If you love to cook our totally redone cottage has a gourmet kitchen, complete with double oven and full spice rack along with a gas grill, flat top and charcoal grill outside. There are two bedrooms with full size beds and a queen, sleep sofa, with additional memory foam topper in the living room; however, my opinion about the sleep sofa is... you still need to be a little adventurous if you plan on sleeping on it for more than a few nights. There is also a walk out deck along with a dock to put your boat.

Excellent, well appointed, lakeside property close to many superb state parks showing off their leaf colours. Property has a good view of the lake
A great few days. Good value.
Overall great trip with my wife and daughter. Nice little cottage along the lake. Place is small, but we knew that going into it when we reserved. Everything worked out great. She even brought in an outdoor gas firepit for us!!
Such a beautiful area & the place was perfect, neat, clean, comfortable. Easy communication with owner!

About the host

Family is very important. We wanted to have a place for everyone to go and all have fun and knew we wanted a place on the water. When driving around Highland Lake we were impressed and felt it was the best place to be. We looked at this property and instantly knew it was for us. It started out being a sweet grandparents cottage that we planned on doing just a few minor renovations to. Once we got started it turned into a total remodel. The outside is very deceiving and we're sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the inside. .
Why they chose this property
Our little cottage has "most" of the amenities of home in a vacation atmosphere which is why this is the place for us. The first time we actually stayed in the cottage, after renovation, the day started by sitting peacefully out on the deck sipping coffee. We watched as the mist drifted across the water just before the sun fully rose to chase it away. And the days only got better from that moment on....
What makes this property unique
The cottage is located only a short distance to local restaurants, diners, grocery stores, cinema and antique shops as well a laundromat, should the need arise. There are also parks, beautiful scenic trails and bike paths to enjoy along with the local Brewery, Little Red Barn.
