Our 1904 adobe home was remodeled in 2007 with a focus on comfort. Thinking of the desert we recently added solar hot water heating for winter time comfort. The south facing balcony gives you a lovely view of the beautiful canyon, the surrounding mountains, and locals walking to and from the art galleries, live theater and varied restaurants in historical downtown Old Bisbee. The upstairs($100/night for at least two nights, $150 for a single night, $500wk) Sun Country Guest House has a large lovely living room with western accents and art, a 4-6 person eat-in kitchen that has a window view of the desert behind. A bench can be seen from the table. Walk on up the path carefully and check out the view. Please stay on the pathes. The bathroom with shower and toilet and reading materials bedroom is sunny and private. The bedroom is bright with good blinds so one might sleep in. The queen bed has organic linens, feather pillows, wool and down blankets. Relax on our leather loveseat and chair. Read a book on our green velvet fainting couch or just rest and look out the window. Sit on our outdoor lounge chairs or rockers and watch the birds while you enjoy our canyon views and sunsets from the balcony. Watch DVD movies on our 42-inch flat panel TV. There are movies provided, which we update regularly for you folks that return to Old Bisbee. Enjoy our backyard desert and deck with propane grill, 4 wrought iron chairs and and glass topped table.
It's 5 minute walk to gourmet cafe and store, that serves all 3 meals of the day and has 1 gluten free pizza day, order ahead . We also have a food cooperative that I like to support as it brings in organic food. Take the bus it is easy and near. You'll find many fascinating details about southwestern plants, history, geology and folklore in our library of books on the Southwest. Romantic hikers, music lovers, hikers, birders, LGBT (Go Utah!) and bicycle riders are welcome. There's even a place to lock your bike.
Take a 10 minute walk to the heart of our historical, artsy town, take a gander of the 100 year old library. Check out the interior of the bank. Explore the very cool stores in our old buildings. Every store has a story and is very friendly to folks interested. We have some fine antiques stores, some great artisan shops, which feature many nationally known artists. Dine in an elegantly restored historic hotel or one of Arizona's most fabulous restaurants. Check out our homemade beers or the dark cool bars, there is one for everyone. There is a bus that stops near Sun Country and goes to surrounding areas. I recommend it. Take a tour through the Bisbee copper mine, once the largest in the U.S. Ride your bikes on our friendly streets. Wherever you go, you're sure to enjoy meeting the colorful characters who call Bisbee home.
Use our home as your base to explore the southwest desert, run a race or hike to the tops of nearby mountains. There are state parks within 30 minutes of town. Don't forget to make your reservation for a tour of the spectacular Karchner caverns. Birders will be amazed to watch the sand hill cranes swoop down to feed in a local lagoon, sit on the balcony or watch the tree fill with turkey vultures, just across the way. Kick back and relax in our quaint little western town. Perfect for anyone looking for a warm and sunny winter vacation in a charming town.

Keywords: House with balcony, mountain and canyon views, a private deck off of the kitchen, with grill, table and chairs, 1 bedroom, living room, bathroom with shower, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen. Cute.
There are many outdoor activities in the desert year around. Some of my favorites are sitting on the balcony and bird watching, with the beverage of my choice. There are many different birds to be seen. The hiking is wonderful, whether you want to walk the many stairs and explore Old Bisbee that way or just start walking West on Tombstone Canyon road, walk past the entrance to the highway and keep on walking. You will arrive at a great place to see the lay-out of the area. This is a street walk. The road becomes unused except by folks who live in the area and then becomes unused at all. It takes me about an hour or so round trip. The hour does not include the hanging out time. There is shopping in very cool and inviting places, many restaurants, with very good food and wine, beer and cocktails and many different types of food to choose from. There are cool dark bars to try out, some have food. We have many local beer making places to experience while you visit. Old Bisbee has a community seasonal pool that is incredibly nice, with a slide. It is a good place to have a lot of folks gather for a big meal. Tombstone is less than an hour away. Stop on your way in or on your way out. Go to the Lavender Pit, it's cool to see what was seen and understand the history of the area. There is a Smithsonian exhibit up in our local museum, also informational. See the changes time makes. And if you just want to relax Sun Country Guest House is a great place to for it.
