About this property

Log Cabin on Lake Ontario

This beautiful 2 bedroom (sleeps six comfortably) and 1.5 bath log cabin sits about 15 yards off Lake Ontario. The interior is rustic in design but has everything you need to enjoy some peace and quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a laundry room with washer and dryer. The full bath has been recently updated to include a walk-in shower. The shower has 6 body sprayers, a hand held wand sprayer and an overhead shower recessed into the ceiling. You can set the shower head to a rainfall or waterfall setting or both. Built in LED lights are hydro powered and change color based on the water temperature. Really relaxing. Towels and linens are also provided. A wood stove for those chilly nights or sit in Adirondack style chairs by the outdoor fire pit at sunset. The back porch is equipped with lawn chairs, a propane fire pit/table, a Weber BBQ gas grill and there are chaise lounge chairs for tanning. Outdoor games include bocce ball and corn-hole (day or night time), plus there are some board games, giant jenga, and giant connect 4 for those rainy days. There is a huge picnic table (seats 10-12) right by the water, room for everyone to sit at and enjoy dinner and take in the sunset.

Oh man what a view!
From our arrival to our time to leave we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful log home. Sitting in the sun, late afternoon fires with the sunset, it was all great. There are a number of nearby things to do with a little bit of travel. Would definitely go back...and Mark was a very gracious host!

Oswego
Great property. Didn’t love the area. I’d the weather was better (very high winds) we probably would have enjoyed the camp more.

I grew up in a small town nearby and got my degree from the College of Environmental Science & Forestry at Syracuse University. I have a passion for the outdoors and I truly love spending time at the cabin, there's something about the calming effect of the lake. I currently own a small environmental consulting firm.

Why they chose this property

I always wanted a place on the water but didn't want to drive far to get there. This is only 30 minutes from my house and 45 minutes to work. The location was perfect for me.

What makes this property unique

The sunsets are second to none, I often race to the cabin from work just to open a nice bottle of wine and catch the sunset. I love the character of the cabin and the detail in craftsmanship, I'm sure you will as well.
