Welcome to PJs OFF THE GORGE

You will love it here! For your comfort, we have a 5 person maximum rule for sleeping. Also there is a 6 night minimum for booking but we can consider less if you wish. You have your own entrance and doorbell.

There is a gas fireplace in the great room with lots of comfortable seating for everyone to visit and/or watch the 60" SMART TV. We also have SURROUND SOUND. If you wish, you can rent a movie on SHAW ON DEMAND and pay us on checkout. It is an open concept so you can visit while you are cooking. There is a ceiling fan and we provide air conditioning for the main area of the suite during the hot months of the year.

There is a BLU RAY DVD and a radio with tape and CD. Nice sound.

The dining room has a large dining table with room for 6.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and has a sit-at bar for socializing. Moving along, you have your own washer and dryer, and a 40 gallon hot water tank.

The larger bedroom has a queen bed, side tables with lamps, your own 43" TV, closet with lots of hangers and a ceiling fan.

The second bedroom is a bit smaller but very comfortable. There is double bed and a twin bed for the kids or whomever you have staying. There is a 5 drawer dresser and also a ceiling fan.

The bathrrom has a huge skylite to make it very bright, and is 4 piece with an awesome shower.

There is a vacuum for your use, iron and ironing board, all linens supplied for bedroom, bath and kitchen

OUTSIDE

For your enjoyment, we have a private area in the backyard, with small barbecue. There is a picnic table and extra chairs for your use

- located 0.5km from the Gorge Waterway walkway,

- canoeing and kayaking in the Gorge,

- running/biking right outside the door, through the beautiful forest to the Galloping Goose Trail, which goes on from Sidney to Victoria and out to Westshore and on to Jordan River,

- 5k to Victoria General Hospital,

- 10k to Royal Jubilee Hospital,

- beautiful Beacon Hill Park 7k,

John and Pam are our names.

We have lived in Victoria for many years, and in this neighborhood for at least 25 of those years. John is an avid runner and I love to walk and swim.

We have had guests visit from all over the world. We love meeting new people and getting to know you better.

We are always on hand for questions about things to do and places to eat. Also, for any problems you may have regarding your stay.

Why Pam chose Gorge -Tillicum Area

Our home is in the beautiful GORGE area and is a great choice for a vacation, either for family, friends or a couple. You can go out the front door RIGHT one and a half blocks to the forested park with trails (Cuthbert Holmes Park); and LEFT 0.5 km to the beautiful GORGE waterway walk. You will love it!! There is so much for kids to do locally.

What makes this apartment unique

Gas fireplace for chilly evenings. Lots of room for you and your family. This is a very peaceful setting. In the backyard, for your enjoyment, there is the OASIS - a private area for just you and your family to enjoy with a barbeque, picnic table and extra chairs.

Great home away from home!

The unit is very comfortable with all the amenities one would need. Our hosts were super-nice and very accommodating. We loved walking along the Gorge every morning. Great location, minutes from downtown.

Simply, Awesome!

Our stay in Victoria was amazing! The property is awesome, in a great location, and the hosts are fantastic. We will be coming back here every time that we holiday in Victoria.

The rental was everything we could have hoped for in a VRBO. It had great amenities, was private (and very quiet), and the beds were super comfortable (we cant emphasize this enough). The unit must have been designed specifically to be a VRBO... I'm certain it must have sound-proofing, as we never heard the neighbors and we never worried that we were disturbing others (we have stayed in vrbo condos downtown and noise has always been one of our major complaints... that is not the case here... it is super quiet).

We found the location to be perfect for us. It was central to everything we wanted to do... extremely easy to get to downtown, walk the trails of the Gorge, get out on the hiking and biking trails, 1/2 a block from the park (playground and basketball courts), and the mall (and Starbucks) was only a couple blocks away.

The property itself was quiet and well designed (highly recommend), and Pam and John (the hosts) were what made this stay so enjoyable and memorable. They are the type of hosts who are accessible if you want (friendly and genuine, providing great suggestions on what to do, where to go, etc) or, simply hand you the keys for you to enjoy your stay.

Hands down, this is one of the best VRBOs we've stayed in. It will be the first place we will look to stay the next time we are in Victoria.

Satisfied all our needs

Pam and John's place above the garage was ideal for us in Victoria. It was a drive of 10 - 15 minutes to downtown, a 10 minute walk through a park area to a mall with a supermarket. The neighborhood was quiet and the 2 bedroom unit was very well stocked. They live on site and responded very quickly to all our needs.

Excellent suite for our stay moving to Victoria

We had the pleasure of staying at John and Pam’s place upon our move to Victoria from Edmonton. Our Family of 5 (plus Copper :) ) needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks while we waited to get out new home. Being first time VRBO users, this was an extremely positive experience.

The owners have set up a great suite for renters to use. It has essentially a separate entrance and private accommodations. The living space was very large with a great sized living room. All of the amenities you need are there for your stay, from kitchen utensils to laundry essentials. Plus, having arrived later, a nice food starter was left in the fridge for us to enjoy, which was a great touch! You can tell that they care about their guests and provide a suite that is made to accommodate people coming to the area to travel.

The home is also situated in the Gorge area, which has some great walking trails right along the water. As well, I work downtown Victoria and the Inner Harbour, which made it a nice 10 minute drive to that area.

It should also be noted that the Pam and John were very responsive to any requests we had – before our arrival and during our stay. Thank you for the great introduction to the place we now call home!!
