About this property

Since 1988, Rancho Alegre Lodge embraces the spirit of Jackson Hole

Established in 1988, Rancho Alegre Lodge stands as a cherished retreat in the heart of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, offering a distinctive experience as one of the last remaining historical rental homes in the region. Nestled just south of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, our lodge is a haven of uniqueness and charm, providing an unparalleled blend of Western and European aesthetics across its 10,000 square feet.

This extraordinary residence, comprising eight bedrooms, two nestled alcoves with beds, and six bathrooms, boasts an eclectic style adorned with carefully curated Western and European antiques. It stands as a testament to the rustic beauty that defines Jackson Hole.

Our lodge is not merely a dwelling; it is a sanctuary for family reunions, corporate retreats, ski groups, wedding parties, and outdoor enthusiasts. Immerse yourself in the allure of Rancho Alegre Lodge, where 15 beds, including three twins, two full, seven queens, and three kings, await. For additional convenience, two foldable twin beds can be arranged upon request.

Experience a stay like no other, surrounded by the tranquility of our secluded haven. Despite the sense of complete privacy, Rancho Alegre Lodge is conveniently located a mere 15 minutes from town, offering easy access to all the amenities Jackson Hole has to offer.

As the proud owner, I am excited to share that our lodge is home to more than just its architectural splendor. During the winter season, spend time on the ski slopes in the area, view elk on a horse drawn sleigh at the Elk Refuge, and then return to relax by the roaring fire at night. The summer months include rafting, hiking, biking, horseback riding, shopping and visiting the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Summer nights on the property are for treasuring time, watching stunning sunsets, and enjoying a s'mores night while picking out constellations in the night sky. Our property hosts the most amazing farm animals, adding a touch of magic to the stay for families and groups alike. Enjoy evening goat walks, fresh eggs in the morning, and watching the pot belly pigs ramble around the property. The presence of these pets enhances the overall experience, creating cherished memories for everyone who graces our doorstep.

Indulge in the luxuries of a pool table, fireplaces, and an exercise room equipped with a steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. Complementing the experience, we provide Beekman toiletries and other thoughtful amenities to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay.

Escape to Rancho Alegre Lodge and embrace the spirit of Jackson Hole – a place where history, charm, and modern comforts converge to create a truly one-of-a-kind getaway.

Unbelievable Property for Amazing Price
I have a yearly ski trip with my friends from college. We decided to try somewhere new - Rancho Alegre Lodge in Jackson. What an experience. Plenty of comfortable beds, multiple living rooms for hanging out, huge kitchen. Rex and Connor were amazing to have on the property. The goats and chickens were such a cool touch. There’s a hot tub, sauna, and several wood burning fire places. It’s not far from town, about 15 minutes. Nice and quiet and perfect for a big getaway. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A little slice of Wyoming heaven
If you're staying in or near Jackson and you're looking for an authentic Wyoming experience, look no further than Rancho Alegre Lodge. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Rex was there to make our stay comfortable. Every request was taken care of quickly which elevated the experience. We were hosting a private group on a wellness retreat, and the home had a variety of accommodation options which was nice. Rex even offered to take our group on an evening sunset walk with the goats as well as build us a bonfire for our last night, both of which we enjoyed greatly. The home is a bit on the older side and could benefit from some TLC and a good deep clean, but nothing we experienced detracted from the overall wonderful time we had there. Overall, it felt very eclectic, cozy, and authentic. We can't wait to return again soon!

Best Family Reunion Ever!!!
With 18 family members ages 8-80, the Rancho Allegre created a magical stay filled with lifetime memories for our family reunion. When I booked I didn’t appreciate how spacious the property was. Our family never felt “on top of each other” yet had space large enough to gather as a clan. We never saw the children, they gathered eggs, played waffle ball, and learned to play a mean game of pool. The teens put down their phones and made memories. Rex was a wonderful caretaker honest about check in time when we asked about checking in early (he kept us updated throughout the day) and was truly available 24/7. Occasionally during a lifetime the stars align and everything is perfect…that describes out family’s stay at the Rancho Alegre.

A lovely vacation week for the whole family
This was an amazing property. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The animals were the best! The manager was friendly, and super helpful.

Rancho Alegre Lodge
Fantastic potential…..needs to be updated/cleaned. Great views and having the animals on the property was special. We spent a lot of time on the back deck which needs to be addressed….new patio/deck furniture would be nice. Rex and Ike as property managers were excellent. We appreciated all off their assistance.

About the host

Hosted by Frank

Host profile image
In 1994, after spending several holidays in the Teton Valley, Frank Reilly fell upon the Rancho Alegre property. Frank had an interest in Jackson Hole, mainly for the unsurpassed powder that Jackson Hole’s ski seasons offer and the majestic beauty of the area. Frank decided the best way to know a place was to experience it, so he checked into the lodge as a guest for a month. Immediately, he fell in love with the property and the house. Shortly thereafter, he became the proud owner of Rancho Alegre Lodge. Since July 1995, thousands of guests have come to Rancho Alegre Lodge to experience all that Jackson Hole has to offer. There is no better way to enjoy this valley than to experience it from a hill-top with awe inspiring 360 degree mountain views and the comforts and charm of this gracious home.

Why they chose this property

The comfort and serenity of Rancho Alegre Lodge provides a backdrop for lifelong memories and traditions. The perfect blend of Eastern ambiance and gracious hospitality of the West offer year-round enjoyment for all who gather at this home away from home.

What makes this property unique

Petting farm, space for everyone in your group, and endless views of the majestic Teton range.
