Bridal weekend during a heat wave
Cabin is cozy but little thing dead mouse near door, bullets out back trash situation Owners do have a nice setup and you can see the love and attention they’ve put in the cabin there’s room for improvement air conditioning or vent fans a hot tub would fit nice an awning on sidedeck not just front I’m not sure if swimming in the not so nearby river is really an option when asking locals along the river they knew of no place to swim in it, rafting or boats yes but the water wasnt looking clean and signs were posted no swimming, but do not fret, there’s a community rec pool 17 min drive from cabin it was able to be found on google, but a lovely local woman told us where it was. This as pool is amazing $6 per person. An activity map from the area would have been nice on the cork board. The trash situation was the hardest part, so many bullets were fired at the trash can, they are set back from the house but we are not from pa, and burning trash is not allowed in our home state, with the size of our party and the photo evidence on the walls of bear activity, we were not prepared for amount of trash we generated and having a carry out policy if you go over direction, luckily we didn’t go over, as we burnt as much as we could, but a bear proof locked dumpster should be on the property away from the cabin but a shortly ride away. Over all we made the best of it and are leaving with treasured memories. And would do it again knowing what we were getting. Owner was upfront about all.

Perfect Reunion Location
We rented for a church ladies retreat. The location of the property was beautiful. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate but the owner warned us ahead of time. Plenty of sleeping, gathering, and relaxing spaces. The water was a little difficult at times but to be expected for a mountain home. We really enjoyed the location and plan to return again with our children and families.

We had a great time!
This was a family weekend and we all really enjoyed the property - lots of outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Fully equipped kitchen was perfect as was the use of the grill. Fun fire pit area. Plenty of parking. Comfortable beds and Karen was a great host providing all the information you would need and very responsive. We walked down to the river and floated around and it was a lot of fun! Thank you!!

Rustic cabin getaway
Let's first start off by saying Karen is an amazing host. She was quick to respond and help with any questions and requests we had. Instructions of how to enter the property and what to do to turn on everything was very straight forward. The property is definitely a cabin on the side of a mountain. To us, that was just what we wanted. It is a mountain road to get in and while you can make it in a car it may be tricky for some. The outside was taken care of all with the exception of the grass being a bit tall. The condition of the cabin compared to the photos definitely show it is a 12 year old cabin but still in good shape. The inside is spacious enough for a large gathering without feeling like you are on top of each other. The layout was great and each bedroom felt very private. Everyone who stayed had a great time even with near record high temperatures for the time of year. A couple things I wish the cabin had would be a working range hood and some form of AC. The hood does not currently have a fan in it. Also if you plan on staying in the warmer months, plan on bringing a fan or 2 along. There are fans in each bedroom and 3 in the kitchen/living room. The bedroom fans worked fine but the one in the kitchen ( which probably would have helped a lot while cooking) functioned but was hitting the lights so we opted to not use it. Overall a great place for a rustic getaway and you won't find anywhere less exspensive for the number of people it can accommodate. We would definitely rent this place again.

Beautiful outdoor view and many beds
Karen was available to answer any questions. Cabin had many helpful kitchen tools and utensils. The cabin was very spacious! There are blankets there to use, but make sure you bring your own pillows (pillows for sure) and blankets if you are the kind of person who has to have very clean sheets. I brought my own. Some friends didn't mind the sheets provided. Cabin could use some deep cleaning (such as cleaning the stove, couches and some of the walls) but I wasn't too picky about it. So this cabin was a good mixture of rustic and beautiful. After all, you're in a get away into a more nature focused area. We truly enjoyed this place and are planning on reserving again in the future!
