About Lesley Giampietro
Brother and Sister purchased beach house together in 2004. Both families enjoy all that Slaughter Beach has to offer as a get-away from their homes in Maryland.
Lesley Giampietro purchased this House in 2004
Why Lesley Giampietro chose Milford
Very quiet beach neighborhood, community playground with tennis and basketball. Your own sandy beach with beautiful sun rises. Public boat launch is just over a mile away. Groceries, adult beverages, and fuel can be found in Milford, just a few miles away. Still, close to entertainment (Dover Downs, Lewes, Rehoboth and Ocean City Beaches), history (Dover Air Force Museum) science (Dupont Nature Center) shopping (3 full outlet centers in Rehoboth with tax free buying).
What makes this House unique
Beachfront, within 75 feet of the waters edge, very quiet, beautiful bay scenes during the day and wonderful night skies with views of Cape May Lighthouse at night.

Home was the perfect size for a large family.
Home was very comfortable. Bedrooms had lots of room. Kitchen was large and fully stocked. Dealing directly with Lesley (the owner) was a very good experience and he was very helpful and kind. They bay was great for the kids and so close to the house. Night time on the deck was a wonderful scene. Beach is not crowded, most of the time we were the only ones on the beach but would suggest water shoes as beach is a little rocky. Bring rafts, kyacks and fishing poles. Family had a great time and would definitely go back.
We had an amazing time beautiful home equipped with anything you may need. We loved the deck with easy access to the beach. The ship's in the distance were interesting to watch. The beach was quite and relaxing low tide you could walk out forever. Wish we could have stayed another week. Owner was very quick to answer any questions. Thank you Lesley for sharing your beautiful home.
Exactly what the doctor ordered!
The house fit our needs perfectly. The view was luscious. The beach was quiet- which is exactly what we had in mind. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to relax or kayak or walk the beach, crab, swim and did I mention relax and get away from it all? Plus there was the killer corn hole (bag toss) tournaments.
Thank you Leslie.
Very nice vacation house
We enjoyed our week very much, the house was set up very nice and had everything we needed. Everyone had a great time and we will be comming back next year.
Wonderful home in peaceful location
There are so many things to love about this home:The deck is perfect for sitting and watching the Bay and sunrises to the east, or the peaceful Marsh and sunsets to the west. The interior is spotless, well laid out, and the glorious views continue through the generously large windows of the cozily furnished family rooms at both ends of the house..The four bedrooms have very comfortable beds with adequate blankets and pillows and the upstairs/downstairs arrangement, with full baths and sitting areas on both levels is marvelous for extended families. Since we chose to eat in most of the time( we had an infant with us), and really like to cook, the new gas grill and the clean and very well equipped kitchen that flows into the dining area and family rooms was a big plus.
The beach is packed sand and stones -would recommend bringing water shoes ( along with beach chairs) if you want to hang out on the beach or swim here-- but having said that, the water was lovely and the tidal flats make for interesting sea life and water bird watching.
This is a very quiet spot , which we loved. You won't be able to walk to a store, or a restaurant. But by car, you can quickly get to more typical sandy beaches ( Broadkill and Cape Henlopen are 20 and 30 minutes away respectively), or to charming towns (Milford, Milton or, a bit further away, Lewes) where restaurants, galleries and well stocked grocery stores are available.
The Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge has lovely walking trails along the Marsh, and the entrance in 15 minutes by car from the house.
Our adult children enjoyed checking out Dogfish Head Craft Brewing in Milton and Misspillion River Brewery in Milford also.
I should also note that Ms. Giampietro couldn't have been more helpful and prompt in her responses to our questions.
All in all, it was a perfect place for three generations to relax and unwind. We would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful Beachfront Property for Family with Young Children
The house was wonderful - such a nice porch to hang out on and look out at the Bay. Kitchen was stocked with the necessary plates, cups, utensils, pots, pans for cooking. TVs all worked. Rooms were well kept. Bathrooms were clean. Central air was wonderful for the hot, muggy heat wave! Loved being able to walk out to the beach.
The gravel beach is extremely quiet and is loaded with sea life (horseshoe crabs, blue crabs, snails, hermit crabs, etc.). Our 2 year old enjoyed walking out into the bay during low tide to investigate. Although the water was not my favorite for swimming or wading in and the surrounding town wasn't anything special, we absolutely loved the house.
