Our fabulous location can't be beat! Sit on the best beach in Kelowna and easily stroll to downtown. And now that the home has been newly renovated there isn't a finer home to spend your vacation in.

Enjoy our large, private sand beach. You and your kids will love this! Our level lot is safe for kids and seniors. It's rock-free and has shallow water which warms up nicely in our bay.

Calling all nature lovers! We are right next to a wildlife sanctuary, so you can sit on the deck and watch the ospreys, ducks, otters and even, sometimes, deer meander by. This also begins the lovely waterfront boardwalk to downtown. Walk, roller blade or bike to free outdoor concerts, shops and restaurants.

It cannot be stressed enough how special this location is and the lot is. We are the first house on the first private beach just after downtown. On one side, we have neighbours, on the other, we have green space, and in front we have the private beach and lake. Our outdoor toy chest has sand toys, beach balls, bubble makers, beach balls and badminton.

Relax in our tastefully decorated vacation home with expansive windows to take in the view, or BBQ and play on our spacious deck and lawn. Our modern kitchen has all the conveniences you need to cook, entertain or revel. The dining table seats eight and the breakfast bar seats four. Outdoor dining is our specialty. Eat in shade or sunlight as you watch the yacht races, then the sunset.

All four bedrooms have queen beds and one has an extra slide out single if you need it.

The sundeck is off the dining room (seats up to 8), living room and master bedroom. You may want to end the day at the water's edge watching the sun go down, then later roast marshmallows at the beach fire pit.

Rates include all utilities: high speed wireless internet, heat, AC, cable TV, water.

Cleaning fee is $225.

Because Kelowna bylaw restricts vacation rentals to 30 day minimum, all contracts are for 30 days and the house sits empty when not occupied by the renter.

Booking deposit 30%. Balance due 3 months before arrival.

Smoke free. Pet free. Occupancy limit is 8-9. All strictly enforced.

Security deposit: Yes. Forfeited if above rules broken. All cleaning required beyond 6 hours is billed to the security deposit.

Cancellation Policy: If the cancelled time is subsequently booked, there will be a partial refund of monies paid (greater percentage with greater notice), less $400.

I'm an optometrist, who lives and works in the Lower Mainland of BC. My daughter and I enjoy exploring places and savouring our time at the Beach House.

Why Judy Schnarr chose North End

After moving from Waterloo, Ontario, to BC, in 1985, our family fell in love with Kelowna. And who wouldn't? A beautiful clean lake, wine country, awesome hiking/biking, great ski resorts and a vibrant cultural district lured us.

In 1997, when we came to buy, our realtor let us in on a secret. The beach he lived on was the best in the area...sure, we said...But he was right. After visiting numerous, rocky, pebbly, marshy waterfront areas, we fell in love with Manhattan Point beach. When the first house on the beach, right next to the green space came available, our dreams were answered.

Since then we have been enjoying The Beach House ourselves, a little bit, and sharing it with select visitors from around the world a lot!

The indoor renovation of 2016 opened up the great room, expanded the view of the wildlife sanctuary, and gave us a gorgeous chef's kitchen. With the addition of new beds the house is ready for the most discriminating guests.

What makes this house unique

When I'm lucky enough to be staying at the beach house, I love to have breakfast on the deck while watching the wildlife in the green space next door. Then a power walk along the boardwalk takes me to my favourite tea bar where I people watch for a short time.

The day may include boating, wine tasting, and definitely swimming. After pursuing our various individual activities for the day, we all come together for dinner. We may eat in the sun or put the table under the shade tree. My favourite night is Wednesday because that is Regatta night and we watch the spinnakers fly as we dine.

I prefer to be at the water's edge when the sun goes down. If I stay there until it darkens a bit I can make out the beaver swim by on his way to the creek.

The Beach House

The beach house is in a great location, the living room/kitchen and outdoor space are all amazing. There are four comfy beds and two full baths that make this place easy to share. If I visit Kelowna again this would be my first option!

Great Family Vacation

My husband, our two young children (4 and 2), my mother-in-law, and our older Aunt (visiting from the UK) stayed for two weeks in September 2015; prior to the renovation. Without the renovations we all enjoyed ourselves. The kids loved the beach and water. There was lots of beach toys, bikes, wagons, and even a kayak. We spent all day most days in the backyard on the beach - the shallow water was great for younger children. The kids loved watching the deer run across the back during breakfast, and making s'mores after the sun went down over the fire pit. We loved the convenience of having the beach in the backyard. So private! The rooms were spacious and everyone had enough room to move. We were close enough to downtown that my husband and I could sneak away for dinner - everything was walking distance. The only improvements I would comment on was the state of the floors and bathrooms, however that appears to have been resolved; and since the home is right beside the bird sanctuary the beach could have used a good rake. We have plans to return again. The owner was also great to communicate with and very accommodating.

Wonderful rental for a June (or anytime) visit

We had the best time at the beach house with our little family. We have three little boys they were aged 5 and under when we visited. We stayed for a month while my husband worked at the hospital. He could ride his bike there within 15 minutes. My children loved the beach and the shallow bay. It was very private and was close to all the amenities. we could walk to the parks and along the boardwalk. We loved the wildlife marsh next door. One night we had two beavers come right up onto our beach. It was amazing. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and the housekeeper was easy to get ahold of with questions. They had some bikes in the garage and a kayak we loved to use. A great place to stay and we had the best month. Couldn't recommend it more!

Fantastic Stay: Beautiful private beach, central location, fully equipped.

My family (2 adults + 3 children under 4) stayed at the beach house for the month of May. The private beach was wonderful and the location was central allowing for an easy walk to downtown and numerous amenities. The house was well equipped with most everything you should need for your stay. The furnishings were comfortable and there was plenty of seating for both lounging and dining. Lots of space in the house & outside as well as sufficient parking was also very nice when we had friends over for dinner because no one felt cramped.

As mentioned, we had our small children with us and the house worked well in that it had many child friendly features (no stairs, toys for the kids, short walk to the bird sanctuary, library and park). The house was very clean when we took possession and the landlord also had the gardening done once per week which was a nice touch.

The only negatives with the stay were that do to the central location, on the weekends, the nearby condominium complex would sometimes give off a fair bit of noise and there would be instances of litter outside the front yard from cars that had parked nearby. However, these were very minor occurrences and were definitely outweighed by the proximity of the house to so many amenities.

All in all, it was a fantastic stay. We are looking forward to returning in the future!

Great May get-away...

My family and I stayed 2 weeks in this lovely lakefront cottage. Great place to rest and relax , just find a spot out on the deck,grass, or sandy beach. There is patio furniture available with a table and chairs set up for al fresco dining or morning coffee. Great on a sunny day. Being next to the marsh was terrific as we saw so much local wildlife, including a family of deer that we watched every day. Being so close to the walkway by the City Park was especially convenient for getting out and about for daily walks. Nice and flat, easy to walk along for anyone who has trouble walking/strollers.. Just a few minutes walk to the local shops, pubs, and theater. The marina is also close by so the sail boats and dragonboats are always putting on a water display. Getting around to the local sites and wineries was very easy as the location of the house is fairly central . Speaking of wineries, there is a VQA wine shop within walking distance which carries all the local wines so if you miss a winery or two you can always find it there. We all would recommend this "home away from home" . The cottage has 4 bedrooms , and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is set up with most everything that you would ever need. Just add some good food from the local farmers market and you are set.. All in all, a fantastic get-away for anyone who wants to enjoy some rest and relaxation at the beach in Kelowna. Cheers!!

We couldn't have asked for more. This home is well taken care of, beautiful, and in the best spot in all of Kelowna. The beach is huge and the water is shallow. Perfect for families, or just a nice private night by the fire. Highly recommended!
