About this property

Quaint Home Away from Home in the Whispering Pines.

Our little cabin reminded me of summer camp in the forests of Wisconsin. The cabin was built around 1930. It has been upgraded over the years. The sleeping porch is now the eating porch, with large double pain windows. We have left a few of the original divided-glass windows in other rooms, just to maintain the old time charm. The kitchen is small, with microwave, toaster oven, blender, stove/oven, refrigerator and coffee maker, of course. Recently the kitchen got a new coat of paint and change of color. We added a deck on the back the cabin. We provide starter TP and paper towels. Guests have commented that the California king bed is very comfortable. The cabin is a cozy place for two people who want to relax in a quiet (pine tree) neighborhood, hike or bike the many trails around Prescott. Deer pass through the yard almost year round. We get some snow in the winter.
The cabin is one mile from down town restaurants, shopping, and our famous Whiskey Row. Prescott is centrally located in Yavapai County. A photographer’s paradise with an average 360 days of sun and brilliant blue skies.
Pets must be approved by landlord.

Quaint & Coomfortable
Great stay, comfortable and quaint. There is a Doe who frequented the property for breakfast. The neighborhood is quiet and the other residents are friendly. close enough to downtown and yet feels like its pretty remote. Inhouse compact laudry was really nice to have.

Charming place to rest
We found the place charming. Loved the deer at our door and the smell of the tall pines. It was so relaxing to sit on the back decking. The owners Gerry and Kurt couldn't have been nicer.

I have lived in Prescott since 1952. Currently enjoying retirement and volunteering. I like to garden, paint, and sew. I really enjoyed decorating the cabin years ago, and keep updating as seems fitting for it's somewhat 'rustic' ambiance. We welcome non-smoking, responsible travelers for 30 up to 60 days stay.

Why they chose this property

Re-locating to Prescott? Or just need plenty of time to relax. Quiet neighborhood. Only one mile to the center of town and the Court House square, surrounded by a variety of restaurants, bar's, clothing shop's, antique stores and art galleries. Arts and Crafts show's, car show's and music festival's are scheduled throughout the summer and fall, with the Christmas lighting of the court house in late November. There are hiking and biking trails for every preference/ability. Prescott is a great home base for anyone wanting to explore this Red Rock county by car.
