About this property

TRULY BEACHFRONT - 180 Degree Panoramic View of the Beach

Wonderful beachfront condo adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park in Parksville, on the east coast of Vancouver Island, on Georgia Strait (recently renamed the Salish Sea). You will witness the ever-changing natural beauty and wildlife of the West Coast , including migrating blackbrants, eagles and hawks nesting in the surrounding forest, water birds such as herons and egrets, seals surfacing at high tide and early morning/late evening sightings of deer, rabbits and quail.

Sunrise will greet you with warmth and light flooding through large panoramic windows, into the living room, dining room and kitchen. You can be the first to make your tracks across the pristine, rippled sand after the waves have erased yesterday’s creations. Witness the awesome sight of a full moon painting a swath of light on the water and watch it slowly sink into the sea from your window, or even better, go outside and see the brilliance of the star studded night sky, undiminished by the glow of city lights.

Our unit is a haven nestled in a spectacular setting, on the second floor of a beachfront fourplex. Even while relaxing inside, you can enjoy the majesty of nature and life around you. Being outside is exhilarating and a wonderful antidote to the busyness and stress of life. Prepare to unwind, relax and simplify your life.

Incredible view!
This second-story condo was perfect for our wishes to enjoy the beachfront of Parksville. It had everything we needed, including a second bedroom for our guests. It’s on the second floor which gave us two balconies, and a wonderful view of the beach and the local wildlife. Highly recommended!

Spectacular waterfront
Just steps to the beach, we walked way, way out when the tide was out, and were amazed at how warm the water was at high tide. We enjoyed the upper balcony, watching the moon come up. Everything you needed was supplied, beds were comfortable. We will be back for sure, thank you!

Why they chose this property

Our retreat is centrally located on the east coast of Vancouver Island and easily accessible to other areas and attractions. It is a two hour drive south to Victoria, with attractions such as Butchart Gardens, the Empress Hotel, Royal B.C. Museum and whale watching tours. Similarly, it is a two hour drive north to the Courtney/Comox Valley and Mt. Washington ski resort.

Day trips to the fishing meccas of Port Alberni and Campbell River are another option. Long Beach/Tofino/Wickaninnish surfing and storm watching are other possibilities, as are trips to outlying islands such as Hornby and Denman.

Friends visiting from the mainland (i.e. Vancouver) can take the Vancouver/Horseshoe Bay ferry to Nanaimo and drive north 25 minutes to Tanglewood. Airplane connections are typically made through Victoria, Nanaimo or Comox/Courtney airports.

What makes this property unique

The location of our condo adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park affords us access to a beautifully forested area with well-maintained trails, a nature house with summer parks programs for the kids, popular camp sites and tubing on the rapids of the Englishman River and estuary.

There are many areas close by where one can go digging for clams and oysters or fishing. We love the quaint markets and local arts and cultural events organized by Parksville/Qualicum, such as the Coombs Market, Parksville Sand Castle Festival, downtown night market and Classic Car Festival.
