This ocean view condo (with beautiful view of Black Rock and Maui Mountains) has been completely renovated. The kitchen, living area and bathroom have been upgraded with the finest materials. Kitchen has been renovated into a U-shape design with new granite counter tops, sub-zero refrigerator, dishwasher and limestone floors.

This slice of paradise was recently remodeled with a new couch, tables and lamps. The shower is designed with floor to ceiling tile and glass. Another upgrade is the recessed ceiling fan in the dressing/vanity area!

Located on the seventh floor, the studio has picture postcard views of the ocean, island of Molokai, Ka'anapali beach, Black Rock, The Whaler's courtyard and West Maui Mountains. From the unit's lanai you can watch the waves tumble onto Ka'anapali Beach, or enjoy a beautiful Maui sunset!

The kitchen's granite counter tops, wood cabinets, new appliances and limestone floors make preparing your favorite food or tropical drinks a pleasure. The carpet is new, and there is a King Size Murphy Bed (New King size Serta Perfect Sleeper.)

The studio sleeps two adults and if you stay for 10 days or longer, maid service is provided once a week!

Other benefits include The Whaler's premium location on Kaanapali Beach, just footsteps to the sand and next door to Whalers Village; where you will discover restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities.

Years ago we fell in love with Maui and had the opportunity to buy our condo that we continue to use as our own home away from home.

I am happy to say many of our guests consider 762 their "home away from home" It doesn't get any better than that!

What makes this condo unique

Whalers Village is right next door to various activities, restaurants, shopping, which is a pleasure. The beach path, (which is well marked to keep you from taking a wrong turn) is great for a walk or run. To the North you can go several miles, stop & have an outdoor breakfast or lunch at Dukes, a T. S. Restaurant. Black Rock has excellent snorkeling. Ka'anapali Beach is right out your front door.

Amazing Studio With Awesome View Of Kaanapali Beach & Black Rock!

Gails Maui Condo is open, airy, updated. ...and amazing! To start with, what a great ocean (and beach) view! On more than one occasion, I read on the lanai during the afternoon, and with such an amazing view, I never felt like I was missing anything. And along with the ocean view, I could even see my wife down at the pool (or beach) from my reading spot on the lounge chair on the condo's lanai.

There were a couple occasions that I snuck in an afternoon nap in the condo. And it was amazing. I would open the sliding glass door, and listen to the waves on Kaanapali Beach -The condo was so light and airy that I felt like I was on the beach. With that in mind, many times at night, we would lay in bed with the sliding glass door open, and fall asleep listening to the ocean! What a special treat!!

When we ate at the condo, we enjoyed cooking in the unit's updated kitchen (which was very-very well stocked) and/or we barbecued down at the pool/beach. One thing we liked to do was time dinner with the sunset. We would take our food on the lanai, pour a cold beverage, and dine with the amazing view of the sun setting into the ocean (we were at the condo during August).

Although we did our share of relaxing by the pool and beach, my wife and I are very active. We jogged along the beach path, snorkeled all over the island, went horseback riding in Napili, surfed in Lahaina, paddle boarded on Kaanapali, went out to eat, went out to drink :), when to Lahaina, Whalers Village, Iao Valley, Haleakala, Makawao, and took a half-day boat trip to Lana'i. There were all kinds of activities right there on Kaanapali Beach, and Whaler's Village was steps away! Going to Lahaina or Napili, the condo is a 5-10 minute drive. For anything on the South or Central side, it's about 40-50 minute drive -but the drive is beautiful.

Gail's beautiful condo made our vacation on Maui even more amazing than we could have dreamed! Location and view aside, with all Gail's special touches, attention to detail, generous supply of necessities, and upgrades to the unit, when we are lucky enough to return to Maui, you can be sure we will be staying in Gail's condo.

Beautiful, Well maintained.

What a fantastic Condo! We were impressed once we opened the door. Very roomy for a studio. The condo has all the things you need. The view is so beautiful. We had breakfast every morning on the patio, and saw Whales breaching almost every day. You will be so happy if you stay hear, and we hope to be back many times in the future. Thanks so much Gail.

Owner's Response: Mahalo Cindy for your wonderful review. I love you were impressed with the condo when you opened the door. This is how I want all my guests to feel upon their arrival. The Murphy bed is tucked away and you have so much more space, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The floor to ceiling mirrors open up the room also. if you’re in the kitchen you can view the ocean and during high season see the Whales in the mirror. During the summer months one can also see the sunset when sitting on the lanai. I will look forward to welcoming you and Chuck to Maui and 762 on your next trip to Paradise. Aloha Gail

A Slice of Paradise

Even though we wrote a great review after we stayed in Unit 762 last year, we asked the owner if we could write yet another review this year. Yes...the unit is that great! We have stayed in various Whaler units for the past 28 years. We now consider Unit 762 "the only" unit for us.

Unit 762 at The Whaler is a great central location on Kannapali Beach, with a beautiful view from the lanai. We ate breakfast and dinner (after using The Whaler's up-to-date, clean BBQ's) on the lanai practically every day that we were on Maui. This unit's room design and functionality are excellent. The Murphy Bed is extremely comfortable and folds up to give a spacious, open living area during the day. The kitchen is well stocked & the Sub Zero Refrigerator/Freezer has space for a week's worth of groceries. The large bathroom shower has easy access.(something I can't say about many other units we've stayed in) Even the closet, in this unit, has shelves and a dresser for storage and organization. Obviously, the owner pays attention to detail!

The owner, Gail, is a gem to work with. She's efficient, professional and personable. We are grateful that she's willing to share her Slice of Paradise with us. We look forward to our next stay in Unit 762.

Lovely Studio - Great Location and View

I'd like to start by talking about Gail, because she is fantastic to deal with from beginning to end. She is very organized and makes the whole process easy, and I say this as a first-time user of VRBO. Having told her that it was our anniversary trip, she also went out of her way to make it special, including a lovely basket of fruit, chocolates, and other snacks that awaited us with a nice card upon our arrival. In short, you are getting better and more personal attention than you would at more expensive hotels located literally next door.

The unit itself was perfect, and it has a fantastic view of the famous Black Rock at Kaanapali Beach. I can't tell you how happy it will make you to wake up in the morning, open the blackout curtains, and gaze out at this view as you look forward to another great day on Maui. During the season, whale activity is easily visible from the balcony and the beach below.

If you know Maui, you know Kaanapali and how beautiful the location it is, and how convenient to great shopping, history, and boating activities at Lahaina. During our visit, we used the condo as our home base for longer excursions to the road to Hana (sadly closed halfway through due to a rockslide on the day we chose) and Haleakala. These are easily done as day trips from Kaanapali, and you'll be back in time for a great dinner in West Maui - cook at home in the well-appointed kitchen or visit some of the tasty area restaurants.

The beach is easily accessible from the unit, and there are amenities including towel service and beach chairs. Snorkeling equipment and paddleboards are available for rental right in front of the Whaler. Snorkeling is some of the best on the island around Black Rock. It's fun to watch the cliff divers, too.

I would recommend this unit to any single person or group of 2 for a wonderful Kaanapali experience and a perfect launching pad for excursions to other parts of the island. My wife and I hope to return again one day.

P.S. For those who may be leery of a Murphy bed - don't be. It was more comfortable than our bed at home and I believe bigger than queen size. At least it felt like it.

Fantastic property-incredible ocean and mountain views

The unit is beautiful-very well appointed and beautifully decorated. The Whaler is located on a beautiful Mike's Long Beach

And there must be more than 20-25 restaurants easily within walking distance. It's also located next to a major shopping area (Whalers Village) with a number of quality shops and food outlets. This is just a perfect setting with fantastic snorkeling right in front of the condominium. It couldn't be a better combination.
