Hillside is located on Latty Cove, West Tremont. Hillside and the other cabins are located in a family compound that was once owned by the famous explorer, Admiral Richard Byrd. Every building has a view and access to the ocean. Hillside (sleeps 7) has a spacious living area and large deck that allow a family to live in comfort. With all the extras and a private beach, Hillside will match any vacationers wish list.....your kids will love Latty Cove and Mount Desert Island! You can rent just Hillside, or add on additional cabins to accommodate people.

Hillside's granite stone walkway leads to the two tiered deck and then through the sliding glass doors into the Great Room. The Great Room contains a large fireplace with wood stove insert and is constructed with stones from the original foundation. There is a spacious seating area, a long dining table, stools at the kitchen/bar counter and a modern kitchen. There is a separate large living room with tables for games or puzzles and a ping pong table. Downstairs is a queen bedroom, a second bedroom with a set of twin beds and a full bath (twin sinks, shower/tub). Upstairs is a VERY spacious master bedroom (new bed & bath linens in 2010!) with a king size bed, a bedroom with a twin bed and a bath with 4 foot shower and twin sinks. The waterfront is spectacular - gravel beach, granite rocks, dock, tennis court, and swimming pool (until September 15) are available to tenants and shared with the owners if they are in residence.

'Roadside' located across the driveway offers a king bed, or two twins, and a bath with shower. Max Occupancy 2

'Halfway' has a double and a twin bed and a bath with shower. Max Occupancy 3

'The Loft' has a living room, eat-in kitchenette, bedroom with two twins, and second bedroom with two twins, 2 full baths. Finally a 2nd floor loft offers a reading nook, queen sleeper sofa. Max Occupancy 4

'The Office' is attached to The Loft, but with its own entrance, that may be available at the owners discretion, along with The Loft. 'The Office' is a large room with 2 twin beds, and a full bath. Max Occupancy 2

The guest cabins are rented only in conjunction with the Main House at an additional rate per week, per cabin, with a max occupancy of 17.
