Overview

About the property

Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

Next to Alpine Meadows Resort in North Tahoe, this lovely vacation condo is well-appointed, bright, and welcoming for couples, families with kids, and big groups. Dog friendly too! Our mountain condo has a clean, modern look and beautiful views. There is a remodeled kitchen with open concept dining and living rooms located on the top floor, maximizing the views of mountains and trees. The open ceilings and large windows on this end unit give you the feeling of being in a treehouse.

The kitchen is well equipped and the deck has a propane grill. Enjoy the beautiful view from the deck or sit next to a warm fire as the powder piles up, knowing you can be the first on the hill. There is a wood stove in the living room with plenty of wood for guests in addition to wall heaters in each room to keep you toasty. The upstairs master bedroom has a new king bed. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen bed and a bunkroom with five bunks, perfect for kids. This is a remarkably quiet mountain perch, even during Tahoe's busiest holiday weekends.

Alpine Meadows is known as the local's ski resort with its secret powder stashes and laid back attitude. Now Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Resorts have merged, creating awesome skiing opportunities. A shuttle operates between the mountains and a single lift ticket is good for both. Advanced skiers can ski from the Scott chair off the slopes to the condo.

Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe dining and shopping are located just 6 miles away. Squaw Valley slopes, with fine restaurants and shopping, is six miles away. The family- and beginner- friendly ski resorts Homewood and Tahoe Donner are each within 20 miles; Northstar is also a short distance.

Tahoe is also beautiful in the summer for hiking, biking and boating. In the summer there is great mountain biking out your door. The beautiful Truckee river is at the bottom of the hill. Hike out the door into the Granite Chief wilderness of the Sierra Nevadas, then enjoy the evening on the deck with fantastic views.

A guest said it best: 'This had to be one of the closest, most hassle free ways to ski Alpine.'

Why Carl Jones and Sarah Robertson chose Alpine Meadows

Carl purchased this property to be both a great family location and place with good design and style.

As a kid I was spoiled walking out my door to the slopes, so when I saw this condo I knew that was where I wanted to be. I love the small family feel of Alpine Meadows, combined with absolutely world class skiing. We love the layout of the condo and the beautiful views, we love the quiet of being up in the mountains.

What makes this townhome unique

Besides the easy access to skiing, fantastic trails lead out from the parking areas for many miles of great hiking and mountain biking. The kids will love the great sledding hills around.

Lovely and light ski condo

  • 5 of 5

We spent many weekends this past ski season in Carl's wonderful condo. What a great place to come home to after a day of skiing.

We loved the light and airy style. It is very practical and comfortable. Everything worked great, was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, and the bunk room was fun for the kids. Carl was super easy to communicate with. On top of that, it is about as close as you can get to Alpine Meadows. Strongly recommend.

Fantastic light and airy condo right next to Alpine!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here and highly recommend to anyone wanting to spend time at Alpine or Squaw. We were two families -- four adults and four kids -- and the space was perfect for us. The kids bunkroom is fantastic, with a separate TV and space for them to spread out. The kids room is located on the entry level floor, along with the queen room, a bathroom and laundry. The upstairs contains the kitchen/great room and master suite with bed/bath. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked, the place was extremely clean and everything was as promised. Highly recommend.

Great place, book with confidence!

  • 5 of 5

It is everything as the description offers. Very quiet, very close to Alpine Meadows, and well appointed get away. They have organized the place very well for renters to quickly set up and enjoy your time there. It has great views and one of the best sledding hills about 150 yards from the front door.

Cozy and convenient Alpine Meadows townhome

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for the first time over a long weekend. The townhome was nicely located around the corner from Alpine's base area. It was too far to walk with ski gear and children, but a quick 1-2 minute drive to the ski resort parking lot.

The townhome itself was comfortable - nicely furnished and the bedding was super comfy. It was nice to be in the end unit- our kids made a sledding run from the mounds of snow that had been plowed to the side of the town house and we could watch them playing outside from the side window while we kept warm inside. Also, the kitchen was smaller but functional - we cooked a couple simple meals there and found all the tools, plateware, and utensils needed for snacking and sit-down meals. The layout was nice for our family with the master (with en suite bathroom) upstairs, and the queen bedroom and bunk room downstairs. One note about the bunks - as of our stay the top bunks didn't have rails, so while the kids played and watched movies from the top, we weren't comfortable using the two top bunks for sleeping. The fall would be about 6 feet to the ground.

We'd love to return!

Fantastic condo; fantastic time at Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

I booked this condo for a week vacation with some extended family. We were five, with some visitors from out of state. The condo was the perfect place for us to stay, terrific location and it had everything we needed for cooking and barbequeing and relaxing over breakfast and after a fun day hiking and touring the area. It's a very cute place and really cozy and comfortable. The owners were easy to deal with, helpful and friendly. This was a great experience overall and we'll definitely be back!
