3 Bedrooms + 3 Full Baths--see bedroom description below-- Nestled on a quiet street in a desirable South Lake Tahoe neighborhood, this house will make you experience the real Tahoe.

Authentic Tahoe log cabin built in 1920's, Completely remodeled upstairs bedrooms with 2 log beds. Kitchen has granite and stainless appliances. Hot tub with mood lights. This cabin has a separate living room, dining room and game room with pool table and electronic dartboard in addition to many games. Natural gas fireplace with large rock mantel, large flat panel TV and central forced heating will keep you extra warm. Game room has enough space for everyone to enjoy and play pool and board games provided (or the ones you decide to bring with you) We provide HBO and Cinemax for your movie enjoyment and WI-FI.

In winter the house is only 1-2 minutes away from Heavenly. Casinos are nearby for those who feel lucky during vacation. During summer time, the beaches of Lake Tahoe, are in close proximity - you can walk from the cabin to the marina and beach 8-10 minute walk, and South Lake Tahoe shopping is a short drive. Bring your friends, or family and enjoy your time together. You can also walk or short drive to IHop, Safeway and other stores.

Bedroom set up is as follows:

Log King bed in master bedroom with private bathroom.

Log queen bed in one room upstairs

Another room upstairs has bedroom bedroom has bunk bed with queen on bottom and double on top.

Bonus room area- 2 rooms downstairs separated by a door for privacy. Kind of like a kids suite 1 log queen bed and then on the other side of the door is 2 sets bunk beds (1 bunk bed has a double on bottom and twin on top; the other has a twin on top and bottom.)

There are 3 full bathrooms.

Why The Owner chose Bijou 1

We love the location. In the summer we walk to the lake and casinos. In the winter, Heavenly Ski Resort is only 1-2 minute drive and we are on the slopes. The location was the main reason we chose our cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy the large floor plan of the cabin that allow for many families to spread out and not feel cramped. I love that the the cabin has a large enough area to have a pool table, dining room and separate family room.

Fantastic ski lodge

We really enjoyed the house, everything you could ever want in a Tahoe ski lodge and Ginger was very helpful. I would definitely recommend and book again in the future!

All around great place to spend a relaxing get away

I never write reviews, but in this case I decided to. It's so nice to have an accurate description of where you will be staying. The cabin was rustic and lovely. It was a short stay but we enjoyed every minute of it. We will be back! Thank you so much.

So comfortable, cozy and restfull! So close to the lake!

I am so glad that we found this cabin/home! It has the feeling of a homey little cabin but it is really large. (3 bathrooms!) I love all the rustic pine furniture! So clean too. It's also good to know next time I can bring my little dogs, they love the water. I am getting my friends together to come up with a date for this summer! I can't wait to come back and spend a whole week here!! It's such a short walk to the lake, which we loved! The casinos and nightlife is very close too! Not to mention the grocery store (so we didn't have to spend time or money eating out all the time) and all the shops! ....Starbucks! We loved sitting in the hot tub in the evening, so peaceful!! Yes! We will be back this summer! Thank you Ginger for all your hospitality and mountain decorating! Just look at the picture, It speaks for itself! We'll be back soon! :)

Uncomfortable Health and Safety Trap

Regretfully, I am forced to write this review of my horrible experience staying at this property on March 2018.The issue we must begin with is that the rules that were sent to me prior to my stay did not match the house rules posted at the property when we arrived. The ad listed that the property could comfortably accommodate 14 people, but when we arrived the house rules that were posted stated that the property was for a maximum of 10 people and that only two cars were allowed on the property and that if more cars were parked that we would be imposed a fine of $1000. This absolutely should have been sent to us prior to departure because unless it was intended for us to use a charter bus, the average person travels via car or truck and for 10 to 14 people that is at least 3 vehicles. So, the discontinuity in rules left us at a risk of being fined $1000. Upon arrival and tour of the property we felt like we were the victim of the classic “bait and switch” where the property promises one thing - something beautiful, accommodating, clean, and comfortable – but delivers the opposite. The property looked like a lazy last minute bare minimum remodel that didn’t deliver in aesthetics nor safety. The pool table posted – it’s size and layout wasn’t conducive to actual game play. It was very difficult to move around and have space. The garage that was obviously converted to a bedroom was not appealing nor comfortable at all. Shower curtains weren’t large enough, so water leaked out. There were clothes left in the dryer

Safety Issues ~In a doorway there were pieces of hard rigid plastic nailed to the wall, which could have fallen and seriously injured someone. Doorways also had raw 2x4’s covering rotting wood, which, aside of being an eye sore, is a safety and health risk. Many vents and light fixtures didn’t fit the space and had open gaps/holes, in the walls, which could let in bugs and rodents. The water heater was exposed. The bed was unsafe. There is a wooden build around it with exposed nails. In one of the rooms there was mold, water damage, and leaks, which is a major health concern as mold can cause many health issues. The futon had dirty pillows and the sheets on the beds were dirty and they also had animal hair on them, which is a hygiene and health issue because if someone were allergic to animals, depending on how severe, their reaction could vary from a small irritation, to swelling, to anaphylaxis, hospitalization, an possible death.

Owner's Response: Wow! I had no idea. I emailed you shortly after your trip and you said you had a great time and never mentioned any issues until 3 weeks later. In the cabin instructions, it clearly states that the cleaners and/or property manager will come back and clean anything that needs to be done. If I knew about any cleaning issues we could have addressed it immediately. Tahoe issued a recent ordinance about the parking. It definitely was in your cabin instructions sent a few days before. If you told me that you had more cars I could have accommodated your cars at another property. This original log cabin was built in the 20’s and I never claimed that it was a new build. That is what adds to its charm and most people enjoy the rustic Lake Tahoe feel. Tahoe limits building so we make the most of the bonus area for more people to enjoy. This was done professionally. Not sure that you mean about wood covering up bad wood. We just did a remodel and had all the doors replaced. yes the property is dog friendly it states that on our page. I use the cabin for my family and would never put them in any harm, so I am not sure what you speaking of. If any future guest have any cleaning issues, Please inform me right away and I will do what we can to address any cleaning or safety issues. I am truly saddened by this review. I want everyone to have a fantastic time and enjoy their stay, just as my family and I do.
