Friendly service but lack of communication
I enjoyed my stay a lot and the Big Bear Rental staff I spoke with were very nice, but I never got replies from my any of the texts I sent regarding checkins or from the calls I left regarding guidelines fro checking out. Other than that I had a great stay.

Peaceful Weekend
We loved our stay! The cabin was exactly as described. Very rustic, but we loved the quiet location and especially the fact that the forest was right outside the back door! Big Bear vacations was quick to respond to our needs. I would definitely stay both with Big Bear Vacations again and at this cabin. Tips for this cabin: make sure to bring paper towels, a lighter, and if you’re going to cook, a sharp knife. It was so helpful to have a ceiling heater in the bathroom—it dried off our wet snow clothes really quickly. Also, there are plenty of extra space heaters (in addition to the central heating), and the tv is new and WiFi worked great.

Someone dropped the ball
The property itself was old but okay. Although the young man at the counter put the pen I used back in the "sanitized pens" cup, the bathroom towel bar and shower curtain w/ rod were on the floor, weeks worth of dead flies in the window sills, no wifi back door not unlockable for deck access and a dead moth in the coffee maker, we came prepared. All we needed was quiet and nature. What we got was a knock on the door first thing in the morning from a city worker asking us to move our car from the driveway so they can dig up the street and lay pipes in the ground in front of the cabin..The noise was loud and would last all day every day we planed on being there. We couldn't stay and lost the short down time we needed so badly. The management tried very hard to find us a replacement cabin but none would give us the quiet and privacy we needed. My biggest issue is somebody was notified about the construction and chose to do nothing! that cabin never should have been rented for those days. The quietest part of our visit was the three hour drive there and the drive back.
