We are located right downtown, half a block from the Kimberley Platzl. It is within walking distance to restaurants, stores and pubs. The entrance to the new 28k paved bike path connecting Kimberley to Cranbrook, the swimming pool and arena are all just blocks from the house. The ski hill, nordic trails and the Kimberley Nature park are all within a 5 minute drive.

The house is 2700 sq ft of living space with a carport and has recently been fully renovated including granite countertops and hardwood floors. There are two great decks; the front deck over looks Mark Creek; the 2nd deck is 20ft by 24ft great for a BBQ or Entertaining.

The central location allows us to walk, hike or ride from the house to the many trails and paths that Kimberley has to offer. Quite often we will park the car upon arrival and not use it again until we have to leave.

Great Home Away From Home

This was a great vacation spot for our family. We spent over a week in this beautifully restored home in the heart of Kimberley, BC. The house has five separate bedrooms on two levels with a double bed in each. The cozy front porch was easy to relax in; we enjoyed listening to the local stream. The living room was spacious but private, so that we could have separate visiting spaces. The kitchen has been fully modernized, with new appliances, granite counter top and a huge assortment of dishes, glasses and cookware. The owners have a large raised deck that was great for entertaining (seating a dozen people easily) as well as a full sized hot tub. On the last night of our stay our family soaked in the hot tub while enjoying the sunset, it was a beautiful way to relax and view the night sky. The house also has den downstairs where our kids enjoyed playing and watching TV. The large walk-in shower was a treat to use for those of us that are a bit taller. In addition to the living, entertaining and sleeping quarters, we also appreciated having the full laundry room to wash clothes, etc.

Beyond the home, the location was great! We had deer at the back of the house at night. During the day we walked the downtown, enjoyed morning breakfasts at the local cafes, and bought groceries at the local store (only a 2 minute walk). It was quick to reach the sky hill, only a 6 minute drive up the hill to more restaurants, the athletic training center.

This house was a treat. It was spacious but cozy, had all the modern conveniences wrapped in the charm of an older home. The owners have mixed both old and new throughout the house with the furnishing and finishes, giving it an eclectic feel. There was one additional charm to this house, if you feel like a pizza night; the pizza place right across the back alley was fantastic as well.
