Wonderful weekend stay by the river!
My recent stay at this VRBO property was an absolute delight. Situated conveniently close to Bernardus Lodge, where we were attending a wedding, it provided the perfect distance for easy access while also offering ample space for relaxation and enjoyment. The home is located a short drive or relaxing walk to town that has coffee shops, restaurants, wine tasting opportunities, and a well-stocked general store all within reach. But the best part of the home was the breathtaking view of the flowing river from the property. It offered a serene and tranquil ambiance, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The thoughtful hosts had left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy upon arrival, which was a wonderful personal touch that added to the warm welcome. Additionally, the heaters ensured that even chilly nights were cozy and comfortable. Another convenient amenity was the onsite washer and dryer, which meant we could pack lighter and enjoy our stay without worrying about laundry. Overall, my experience at this VRBO property was fantastic, and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I ever find myself in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with easy access to both nature and town amenities

Fantastic Fairytale Getaway
I have visited Carmel-by-the-Sea many times, but I have never visited the Valley. I am so glad I found this little Tudor cottage on the creek. The sound of the rain in the creek was so soothing, and the quietness of the area was so peaceful. We even met some friendly neighbours out walking and biking. It's only minutes from fantastic restaurants, hiking at Garland Ranch Park, and many wineries and vineyards. And, of course, the town of Carmel and the ocean are only 25 minutes away. I could have spent many more days here happily exploring and eating my way through the area. It was just the break our family needed. The photos do not do this cottage justice. You have preserved the old charm while making it very comfortable, and we commend you for it, Erica an Jean-Francois. I saw some people commented on the beds - for me, our bed was amazing but too firm for my husband (it felt like a cross between a Tempurpedic and a futon - great!), the redwood room had the softest bed, and the loft bed was the most firm. Overall, we slept well, and I've already looked up the Z pillow to get my own. For those who like a BIG mug of tea or coffee in the morning, you are covered. We travel with our own mugs because we are always disappointed at rentals, but it wasn't necessary this time. We didn't cook much, but it was a very well-stocked kitchen. We'd love to return someday. It was too short, and I can see some quality hours of writing and reading by that creek. Many thanks for a great stay.
