We are proud and thankful that the Pittsburgh PA magazine "MetroBurgh" in its spring 2016 edition ,is featuring our Escape 1 ,2 and 3 as the local destination. You can find MetroBurgh at Giant Eagle in the Pittsburgh area.
Myself Leonidas and Richard, the other owner of the property, are hard working people in big cities that found the town of North East and fell in love with its nature and beauty.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
We bought this property in order to enjoy the views of water and nature. We fixed it and decorated it and we are happy seeing our guests discovering the beauties we discovered earlier. If you look at the water from your deck , you have to know it is a lake , otherwise you think the ocean is in front of you
North East is a small town, quiet and with the most beautiful and polite people you can find. Still you are close to big cities , like Erie, Pittsburgh or Buffalo. Within minutes or the most 2 hours you can be in this beauty of North East and all you can desire. Water activities, biking, wineries, casino. If you are a writer, a poet or a painter, we are sure you you can get inspired. If you just want to get away, come and stay in this house, enjoy sunsets and grill great seafood. If you want theater, concerts just take a drive to Lake Chautauqua (15 minutes away).
Enjoyed it as always. Does need a stopper for the sink in order to do dishes and wi-fi would be nice.
This was our 6th year staying on this property, but our first time staying at Escape 2. With our growing family we thought this house would better fit our needs and it certainly did. It was very clean, beautiful, and cozy inside. We still had a nice view of the lake and everything we needed for our family. The photographs online do not do it justice, it is even more lovely than I had expected. We look forward to returning next year!
My family and I were thrilled with Escape 2! The house was immaculate, well decorated, nicely stocked and just as advertised. The owner was quick to answer any of my questions at any time before, during, and after our stay and we got our security deposit back right away. We plan to go back. Highly recommended!!!
This quaint lake cottage was perfect for us. We had the serene views of the lake & we were a short drive to presque isle and the casino. The house is well maintained and lovely. We can't wait to come back!
The cottage was comfortable and nicely decorated. Was very surprised and disappointed that there was no coffee for the morning, however! Also, we were visiting our daughter at the Chautauqua instintue and our host and the property description said it was 15 to 20 minutes away. Using every different route provided by apple maps, however, took us at least 39 minutes one way. So we were forced to stay all day at Chautauqua, rather than coming back for a nap as we would've liked. Other than those two things, everything was 5 star!
We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the kitchen, deck, yard, and lovely view of Lake Erie. It was perfect for our young family! Thank you to the owners!
