Great summer vacation home!
Lovely chalet, well equipped for summer fun on the lake with a canoe, 2 kayaks, and a pedal boat. Upper deck is spacious and the gas grill worked perfectly. The kitchen was well outfitted, it really had everything we needed. We had great time on the swim platform in the lake. We had no problems during our stay. Would recommend this Home highly!
Excellent vacation. The house was clean and comfortable. It was a very muggy week so I wish we had air conditioning on the top level but the fans helped. The pond was beautiful and the kids loved fishing. Overall, it was a great stay and we will book again next year.
Beautiful area, Chalet nicely decorated. Needs maintenance.
Spin cycle on washer didn't work. Picnic table on deck broke putting my husband on the floor. Sliding door hard to manage. Shelf in kitchen broke, canoe broke, TV would work, disconnected. Spent alot of time during vacation fixing things.
Thank you for your feedback as we are always open to comments that might help to improve our guests experiences
This guest took it upon themselves to “fix things” without calling us. We would have been more then happy to address any of these issues promptly. As a result our smart thermostat was broken and needed replacement. The cable wires and connections were damaged and required repair by the cable company. These repairs were very costly to us and could have been avoided with just a phone call
All the other concerns noted have been addressed and fixed. We take great pride in our beautiful property and are always looking for ways to improve our guests stay

Rustic Cabin in great location
We stayed during a fairly rainy week, but were still able to enjoy the main attraction to the home which is the outdoor space and pond. Our family stay included 3 adults, 2 teens, a 7 year old and our dog. Here’s some info I thought I would share for those planning on staying.
• It was very easy to communicate with the owner. The refridgerator broke and he drove hours the next morning after we contacted him to replace it. Earned the 4th star.
• It’s NH and there are bugs, ticks, and animals. It’s part of the trip. Bring bug spray, the heavy duty stuff.
• The basement TV is not hdmi compatible, if you’re bringing teens who bring a PlayStation for nightly games of fortnite plan ahead.
• There is a dog lead (line that runs from the trees like a clothes line). Great to hook our dog to out back when we was rearing to chase the chipmunks.
• You can swim here, just need to go out to the dock. Water was clean, kids loved jumping in.
• Canoe, Kayak and Peddle Boat were great to go fishing and exploring the pond. (my son lost his pocket knife, if it’s found ever, let me know :-)
• Location is conveniently located to explore the white mountains, yet it’s in a wooded area and included in a small neighborhood. There is some traffic out front, barely audible except during the day.
• Most of the mattresses were fine, the ones in the bunk room (especially the full) need to be replaced.
• Grill was fairly new, worked great.
• Bring extension cords, there are fans in each room, but difficult to plug into the outlets.
• It gets hot and humid as expected in the summer in New England, we brought our air purifier and it took away the mildew smell in the basement.
This is rustic NH living with indoor plumbing and modern amenities such as excellent wi-fi and surround sound. The grounds are well maintained, home was fairly clean and our stay was nice.
House was exactly as advertised, we stayed so we could ski at Cranmore was convenient to everything we needed. Has all the basics you need in the house for a nice weekend of skiing.
An all-time favorite!!
We rent from home away every year - usually two separate places each summer, and this was far and away my 12-year-old sons favorite! We all loved it too. It has everything you would want from a beach with a fire pit to a Hammock to Wi-Fi to laundry and has a great lodge feeling. While the cabin is basic, it has a great rustic feel that makes you really feel like you're on vacation. They have a lot of toys including a nice cable TV set up, foosball, and a poker table that we made good use of. The kayaks and paddle boat were a big hit with us all. The location is fantastic - it is just a short drive to everything Conway has to offer and yet you feel so secluded on the pond. My son and I caught some fantastic bass, including a nice three pounder that he caught in a kayak. He hooked a much bigger one in the paddleboat but his father missed it with the net and I'm not sure he's forgiven me for that yet. Also, caught probably the largest Pickerel I've ever seen. Finally the owners were not just extremely responsive but very friendly and such a pleasure to work with. I think all of us would go back in a heartbeat!
