About this property

Picture perfect beachfront cottage on private road

Picture perfect mid-century cottage located on 2 wooded acres, just steps from the waters of Narragansett Bay. Perfect for families, this classic cottage has ample room to host your seaside vacation. Take a refreshing swim, explore the beach, set-off from the mooring to cruise the bay, or relax and enjoy the view to the sound of waves gently lapping on the shore. You won’t be able to resist the spectacular sunset views as the day draws to a close.

Our fully furnished cottage includes 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths, plus a kitchen with everything you need to entertain groups large or small. The main rooms have an easy, open flow with uninterrupted views of all the activity on Narragansett Bay. The fireplaced living room can be a cozy respite on cool nights or open the windows and let in the refreshing Southwest wind! Enjoy outdoor dining on the patio or covered front porch or gather around the dining room table and watch the weather come across the bay.

If you are looking for more adventure, the 14.5-mile East Bay bike path starts on the Bristol waterfront, and kayak and bike rentals are just up the road. The town of Bristol is conveniently located halfway between Providence and Newport with easy access to both. Settled in 1680 around a deep-water harbor, Bristol features many historic sites (Blithewold Mansion, Herreshoff Marine Museum, Linden Place), a charming town center and a variety of first-class restaurant choices. Bristol is an easy trip from Boston and NYC, and a short 45-minute drive from the Providence airport.

Easy
Easy. Everything you need is there including a great yard and little beach and seashore atmosphere. We fit 3 generations - 9 of us and a baby easily and comfortably for a week then had days by ourselves. Works for both. This house is well cared for and loved and it shows in all the many extras like a clothesline for beach towels, outdoor shower, games for all ages for rainy days and in all Suzanne's responses to our needs.

Rustic but beautiful
My family loved the neighborhood and all the wildlife that reside in Poppasquash Rd. The beach was just steps away from the house which we enjoyed so much. Tip: it’s very Shelly and rocky so water shoes are a must. The home is rustic, and without a/c in the summer time it felt very damp and the fridge struggled to keep our food cold. The freezer did not keep anything frozen. But the owner brought us a cooler with ice and if it weren’t a holiday would have probably been able to do more than that. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.
