Or pack a picnic and head south to Victoria, North to Campbell River, or west to Tofino!

Great stay!
We had family visiting and the house was perfect! The house is beautiful. Everyone loved it. Lots of room in the kitchen to cook. We loved the easy access to the beach. The host was really nice. Would definitely recommend.

Great complex.
We have rented three different properties at Qualicum Landing over the years and all of them have been great. Awesome community. Suits our needs perfectly.

Great if staying as one family
Overall great stay at this property/complex with a couple hiccups. -The check-in code didn't work on arrival, however communication with the property manager was excellent so it didn't take long to get the proper code. -There was no "welcome sheet" etc., that explained the basics/policies and so on, so I felt like I had to bug the property manager a few times for some basic questions (wifi password, garbage/compost etc.,). They did mention that a welcome information sheet was in the works (and again, they're communication was prompt!) -The home is not a good setup for more than one family in my opinion. The 3 bedrooms are spacious, but due to the bed sizes (1 double, 1 queen, 1 bunkbed), we had to have people sleeping on the floor to make it work which wasn't ideal. If the upstairs bedroom was a queen, it would make a lot more sense (definitely room for it too). I would also suggest adding another single to the bunk room as it has the room for kids etc. If you were one family and only had 2 adults or 1 other adult for the double, no big deal (we had grandparents with us). -Location was great, easy to get to Qualicum, Qualicum Beach, Coombs etc., -Pool right across the lawn from the house, our kids (2 and 4) had lots of space to play outside in front of the patio and easy to get to the pool which was great. -The beach at Qualicum Landing is beautiful, but very rocky (large rocks) so a bit hard to navigate for young kids. Still fun to explore but I would pack up and go to Qualicum Beach if you want a beach day. -If it were just my wife and I with our two kids, we would stay again. But if grandparents joined us, we would stay in a unit with a better bed setup.

Hi everyone. I live in Calgary, AB but have loved the Island since visiting repeatedly with my family as a child. I teach post-secondary business, run a small business consulting firm and manage a portfolio of other properties in Calgary and Fort McMurray. This one, however, is a keeper and intended to be the retirement home for my wife and I. In the meantime it is yours to enjoy!

Why they chose this property

A well-planned community with a high priority placed upon sustainability and superb quality and workmanship. I loved the central island location with easy access to all attractions and amenities of the Oceanside area, but also quick manageable drive times to Tofino and Victoria.

What makes this property unique

Backing right onto the lovely grassy area, about 30 steps to the pool/rec centre. My family and I have enjoyed this home the past three summers and my wife and I love the fact that we can feed the kids, then push them out the back door where they can run and play freely in the spacious open green area. Then when we're at the pool, it's a mere few seconds to run back to the house for a towel, sunscreen or whatever else we forget.
