This charming one or two-bedroom apartment is conveniently located in the desirable south end of Jamestown Village, about mid-way between East Ferry and West Ferry. You can walk to Mackerel Cove, downtown restaurants and shops, Jamestown Arts Center, several beaches, tennis and golf. Newport is a 10-minute car ride, or for a fun day on the Bay, catch the Jamestown Ferry. This peaceful oasis is surrounded by mature shade trees, stone walls, perennial gardens and fruiting blueberry bushes. Architect-designed and custom built in 2010, The Waves apartment is attached to the main house but is utterly private, with its own yard and outside entrance. There's convenient off-street parking just steps from the apartment door, with on-street parking available for additional cars.

Elegant styling with every modern convenience, including central air conditioning throughout. The open layout combines living/dining/kitchen area. Cathedral ceilings, skylights and a central cupola create a bright and airy interior. In the living room, French doors open to a west-facing balcony with sunset views and sea breezes. There's a gourmet kitchen with cherry-top bar and four stools, granite counter tops, quality cookware and elegant barware. The living room has hardwood floors, while bedrooms are carpeted and the bathroom floor is tile. For those who prefer cross-ventilation to air conditioning, there are numerous screened windows and ceiling fans in every room. Amenities include cable TV, large flat-screen TV with DVD, free Wi-Fi for your laptop, and stereo dock for your IPod.

The layout is flexible, and allows you to choose the number of bedrooms you need. The standard layout (740 total square feet) has one bedroom and sleeps 2, with a Queen bed, bureau and walk-in closet. Open a door off the hallway, and there's an optional, large second bedroom (17' x 22'). The second bedroom has a Queen bed, bureau, closet and seating area featuring a comfy couch, three chairs and a coffee table. With this option, the apartment totals 1,115 sq. ft. Which layout to choose? For a single person or couple (1 or 2 people sharing one bed) the 1-bedroom layout is a good, economical choice. For two couples, or two singles, or a family with children (2-5 persons) the 2-bedroom layout is a must. Bed linens, towels and beach towels are included.

The pleasant backyard is bordered by perennial beds and high-bush blueberries (pick your fill in July and August). There's a small patio with gas BBQ grille and a dining table that seats four for al fresco dining out of doors.

Supplies include: Paper products, soap, wraps, spices and basic staples for the kitchen. Convenience items include hairdryer, iron and ironing board, board games, playing cards, flashlights, barbecue utensils, lobster pot and crackers, a good reading library, and guides to area attractions. If there's something more you need, just ask!
