About The Owner

The Cabin at Lydia’s Canyon was constructed by its owners as a haven to escape the in-laws. Nathan grew up in the Lydia’s canyon area farming and ranching with family while Ramona spent her early years in Florida and moved to Glendale for her teenage years. The Property was purchased from Nathan’s Grandmother and plans to build a retreat began. With the designing abilities of Ramona and the skills of Nathan the cabin began to take shape. The logs were milled locally and the labor was performed by Nathan and Ramona’s families. The rock for the wainscoting is native stone gathered from Dry Wash (one mile south), and installed with the help of Nathan’s father.

The Cabin is accessible yet secluded and has been a favorite vacation spot for the Chamberlains for the past few years. The Chamberlain children enjoy playing in the pond and stream and watching the horses and cows graze across the canyon. Wildlife is harder to spot yet on occasion can be seen along with a few other wooded creatures that happen to find their way into the cabin.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2004

Cute little cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is small, but efficient. However, with 5 people and only one bathroom, it really slowed us down trying to get ready to get out of the house in the morning. Everything was clean and there were plenty of dishes, linens, and supplies for our use. The drive to Zion took longer than I anticipated, especially since we had to wait to travel through the Zion tunnel since it was the busiest weekend of the year in Zion. It was a short trip to Bryce Canyon. The cabin met all of our needs for a reasonable price. My daughter even caught a fish in the little pond!

Cozy cabin in beautiful surroundings, convenient to Bryce and Zion.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four loved our visit here. The cabin had everything we needed, down to superglue for mending a sneaker, pliers for fixing a backpack, and Epsom salts for soaking sore muscles after hiking Bryce Canyon. Heated bathroom floor tiles was delightful, and outdoor patio made morning breakfast refreshing. Wonderful place to return to after exhilarating day in God’s beauty.

great cabin for national park getaway.

The cabin was clean and very well stocked with everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and shower was great, plenty of hot water. The privacy was perfect. And the pond and deck were an added pleasure.

This is a lovely little cabin.

Just right for myself and my two daughters. Everything was spotless - the linens fresh and crisp - and the beds snug and comfortable. The kitchen is overflowing with amenities and we were thrilled to find that everything we forgot to bring - was already there! The cabin is located perfectly - just a short drive from the east entrance of Zion - not so remote as to feel too far away from everything, yet far enough to enjoy the quiet. We loved it!

Very Clean

  • 4 of 5

Very well kept and stocked. Kitchen and bathroom was very nice. Great access to a paved road and conveniently half way between Bryce and Zion. We saw lots of wild animals, elk, deer, antelope, bighorn, and buffalo. Great place for a small family.
