One parking spot. Should you have more then one car, a link will be sent to you for parking lots in the area, once you have booked. There is 3 hr street parking from 7am-7pm, overnight is free.

Cathcart Street is a quiet street in a friendly neighbourhood. Located in the Byward Market. Well suited to an active lifestyle this home is located within walking distance of Parliament Hill, National Art Gallery, Foreign Affairs, Rideau Canal and the Business District. Bicycle paths close by. Specialty stores, hospitals and universities are within minutes.

Local events and festivals such as Tulip festival, Winterlude, and Canada Day celebrations are all within walking distance. If you enjoy theater, ballet or concerts, the National Arts Center is also a 5 min walk away.

Cozy house close to everything

This is a warm cozy house with everything we needed for a 3 generation all girls'vacation! I took my daughter and two granddaughters to Ottawa for skating and museum hopping. We loved the house which has 3 bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. It was great to be so close to all the things we wanted to do during the day and we curled up at night to play games and watch the Olympics. Lynda is a great host and communicator.

Central Location

The central location is good for walking everywhere. House has a good layout and cute character. Homeowner provides lots of detailed instructions on how to work things.

The house is tidy but not completely clean and there is no dishwasher to sanitize dishes between guests (we found some not so clean utensils). There are fixtures that are rusting and cabinets that are showing the wear & tear. House temperature was set a little cold and we were unable to adjust so we sat with our coats on. Surprisingly we have to do a lot upon checkout - strip the beds, wash & put away dishes, put out the garbage (or you are charged a fee).

Very comfortable, great location.

We were four adults, stayed 5 nights in September 2017. This is a clean and comfortable apartment in an older duplex in a quiet corner of central Ottawa. Cathcart street here is residential with very little traffic. It is an 8 min walk to the National Gallery, 12 min to the Byward Market area. The rooms are large and uncluttered. The beds are comfortable and the appliances worked. We were able to park on the street every evening. (Daytime parking is restricted. Gilles was very helpful in clarifying what the parking signs really meant.) There is a small grocery on the corner and a great coffee shop a block away.

I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, slept 5 easily.

The building is old so you have to expect to have uneven floors, but it was very clean and everything was in great working order. It is a short 5-8 min walk to byward market and the many of the attractions are within walking distance. There is a cute restaurant 2 blocks away and on the corner is a small family run convenience store. The BBQ on the back deck worked well, and saved us $100s of dollars as we cooked all our dinners at the home. Air conditioning is available in the kitchen/living room and the 3 sleeping areas. Neighbours came and talked to us the moment we arrived with helpful tips on where grocery stores and walking trails. We didn't have a car and walked everywhere, but if you need transit, a bus runs one block away. We had a pleasant stay!

Great Location

Awesome stay in lovely Charming home in Ottawa

This was a wonderful property. It was clean and well stocked. It is amazingly close to downtown, Parliament, easy shopping, Byward Market, you name it. We had many questions, which were answered so promptly. We had a great time, in a great neighborhood, in a great home. We truly look forward to a repeat visit. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers, and were very comforable. We highly recommend this property - unless you are competing with us to book it :). You will enjoy this one. NO negatives from us!
