Wonderfully appointed home with a view that takes ones breath away! We had a wonderful stay, and did day trips to the surrounding attractions. My friends from college were with us, and a mutual friend from Mass, so it was a catch-up trip, as well as an unwind and explore adventure. Thanks, Jennifer, for your hospitality and for sharing your little piece of paradise.

Beautiful view and wonderful home
The views are outstanding from this home and the home owner was easy to work with. She contacted us to make sure we did not need anything and was friendly. The cleaning crew even left flowers for our arrival. Bring your binoculars to watch the seals each day. Take a short walk to marina to enjoy the views there too. Acadia is an hour away but worth it to stay in a quiet safe neighborhood with these wonder views. The home is clean and well stocked. Would recommend it 100%

Could stay forever
The location of this property is everything. First, you couldn’t ask for more beautiful views. Watch the Lobster boats check pots from the deck! Second, it’s a great starting off point for everything you want to do. We went to Bar Harbor, Acadia, Stonington, Bangor, and Bass Harbor during our stay. All were a beautiful drive and it was such a treat to come home to our quiet and serene house each evening. We absolutely loved it here.

Pictures don't do this place justice!
The view alone is 10 stars! My husband and I and my two adult children and our dog stayed here in mid September. We loved it! The beginning of the week was warm and we swam in the water in front of the house. We saw seals in the distance every day and the Lobstermen came every few days to check thier traps. There is a humming bird feeder hanging off the deck and I would sit in the morning on the deck and watch them while drinking my coffee. Amazing! Later in the week it got cool and we had a cozy fire in the wood burning stove each night. The beds were so comfortable, we all slept incredibly well. It is about an hour's drive from Bar Harbor as an fyi. We loved staying here!

Wonderful spot!
My wife and I had a great, relaxing stay! Spent a lot of time on the deck watching the seals fish in the bay most evenings. It was also an easy drive to hiking in Acadia. The house was very well kept and had all the amenities we needed. We highly recommend it and look forward to coming back!

My sister, Wende and I spent all our summers in Sorrento. Our children and now our grandchildren are enjoying the same magic. It is a great place for family activities. It is a peaceful and quiet place. Lots of activities for young and old with beautiful sunsets and access to the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor (50 minutes) or the quaint and growing amenities of Ellsworth (20 min)

Why they chose this property

Our families have been summering here since the 1950's. We would not want to be anywhere else! There is shopping or dining in Sorrento. Its a small village where its easy to walk the roads.

What makes this property unique

Being able to walk to all activities, except golf, is fabulous. For an additional fee through the Village Improvement Association the wonderful Camp Sorrento entertains and teaches kids while adults play tennis, golf or go for a sail. Just a stone's throw away from the house is a beach where you can hunt for crabs or starfish. The deck faces west for spectacular sunsets.
