The property is as modern, clean and spacious as depicted online. We especially really enjoyed sitting around the gas fireplace which kept the place warm enough, despite the lack of electricity. It was unfortunate that during our stay we didn't have any electricity due to statewide power outages. Beth, the owner did her best to alleviate the lack of lighting and hot showers. She provided us with headlamps and battery powered lighting, and the next day she was able to get a generator so that we could have hot showers. We were concerned about the fires in the area as there was an "extreme danger warning", and Beth kept us up to date everyday on any news (as we didn't have any wifi during the power outages and our mobile phone connectivity was spotty at best). We really appreciate Beth doing her best to make sure we enjoyed Yosemite despite all the inconveniences (which were of no fault of hers). We would definitely consider staying here again, and next time we will bring a cooler filled with lots of food. Visiting Yosemite in October is a bit tricky. It gets really dark early, say around 6ish and by the time we're hungry for dinner, it's too dark to drive back out to the valley which is about 20-30 minutes away on a winding road. On our last day I got a chance to explore the area around the home and found a nice little trail in the woods. What a magical place! Thanks again Beth for all of your efforts. Mel and Peter
