MON REPOS
In the foothills of the Cevennes, on a hill at the edge of the forest, far from mass tourism, is the Granerie, a former winery. It consists of a collection of houses, including my house "Mon Repos"
2 owned, once a farmhouse that I bought in 1996 and divided into two tastefully renovated Provencal style apartments, "A l'Aise" and 'Belle Vue'. The house can be rented as a whole, e.g. B. for two families who want to spend the vacation together, but also want to have the opportunity to retreat to their own apartment or individually. From the house, especially from the terrace of the upper apartment, you have a great view of the surrounding mountains, the Luxurière and the ruins of the old Montalet castle.
Mon Repos is approx. 50 m away from the park-like garden belonging to the holiday home "Domaine du Figuier" with its various seating and lying possibilities, which you, as my tenant, can use. Ms. Schmidt, the owner of the domain, will take care of you lovingly during your stay.
You reach "Mon Repos" via a small access road that winds up the hill, which ends shortly after in the forest. To get into the house, you have to go through a large entrance gate and cross an inner courtyard filled with flower pots and garden furniture. On the ground floor there is the spacious, appealing Provencal style with a large dining table, bench and chairs and a couch vaulted cellar. There is also a washing machine and a freezer here.
Information material: In both apartments you will find extensive information material in a folder as well as brochures about sights of the surrounding area and extracts from travel guides. If you have any further questions, the neighbor Ms. Schmidt, the German and French-speaking owner of the 'Domaine du Figuier' will help you. You can also in St. Ask Ambroix and Bessèges at the Office du Tourisme. They will be happy to provide information there.
MON REPOS - Belle Vue
The apartment on the upper floor, called 'Belle Vue' because of the wonderful view, consists of a bright, spacious kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. From the eat-in kitchen you enter a small hallway with a built-in shelf for your belongings. From here you can reach the shower room with toilet and the bedroom equipped with a French double bed (1.60 m wide), wardrobe, bookcase, laundry chest and two bedside tables. You can also reach the living room with large, sun-reflecting panoramic windows from the kitchen. It is equipped with a built-in shelf, a sofa bed (1.60 m wide), a chest of drawers, an armchair and a television. From the living room you get to a small terrace from which you can enjoy a great panoramic view of the extensive Cevennes landscape. Like the other, this apartment is decorated in a Provencal style.
